Who wants to sell their Fuso?

So what is the prompt for you to move from a very well spec'd Dodge to a Fuso (FG I'd guess)? It can't be horsepower, off-road ability, aftermarket support, cab comfort. So is it just cabin size vs. overall length of a cab-over truck ?

    Sprinter 4WD vs Fuso FG

Beside the 'emissions equipment' the Fuso FGs (in the US) lost their hi/low transfer case (single speed now) and got crazy computer control engine and transmission.

    Sprinter 4WD vs Fuso FG

A big differents besides GVW, speed, fuel economy and ground clearance is going to be new vs. old. The Sprinter will be new, and for a Fuso FG you want a 2007 or before model (hard to find now). The Fuso with a reasonable box with be the same length as a Sprinter, but have much more room in the...

Fuso RAMBLER (with bullet proof toilet enclosure)

SO are you thinking of adding a factory spec'ed bullet and light grenade proof toilet? I've seen photos of (fill in crazy killer insect, snake, mammal, etc) in Australia and that might be a popular option (or for visiting Detroit, Chicago, etc)

Fuso RAMBLER (with bullet proof toilet enclosure)

I stumbled across this (click on photos to enlarge) It looks like a knock-off (confirmed-see posting below from EC) made by an English company 'RAMBLER 4X4 LIMITED' that was in business from Sept. 2015 until Oct. 2017 at 590 Kingston Road, London, United Kingdom, SW20 8DN? Although all the...

I vote you just go rogue. 3 cases of RedBull, flip on those big blue lights and cannonball across Canada.

    Lowly the Lorry. . .

Progressive, Farmers and Allstate have all written policies for my Fuso, no problem as it is an 'RV' (with an Oregon title to back that claim). Otherwise, the VIN shows a 'commercial vehicle'. Hagarty will insure 'Firetrucks', they even have a 'clicky box' for that type vehicle. It runs about...

    Composite fiberglass/foam panel build question

I had the same thoughts as you with the 'look' of the box corners. But after seeing the Total Composite corners in person, they are very 'attractive' and actual add a finished look to the shell, not detract from it. On a side note, when we were assembling Quaide's cabin for Trucky McTruckface, a...

:wings: CONGRATULATIONS :wings: Although zooming in on the ship, your truck looks a little precarious in that lifeboat davit, maybe they should move it inside, or is that how you got a good deal on shipping?

    MPG and Expedtion Campers

If you need more load capacity for a Sprinter, it would be worth checking to see if oberaigner (http://www.oberaigner.com/de/produkte/fahrzeugumruestungen/mercedes-benz/oberaigner-6x6/) could do their conversion on a US spec'ed Sprinter? There is a used one on Mobile.de for sale. Too new to...

    super singles, what size

While I use the Falken WildPeak A/T (325/80-16) on my '02 FG (they are just shy of 37" diameter and 13.25" wide) and love them, the 37-inch diameter for 16-inch rim tires are disappearing. Falken stopped listing that size about a year ago. So the 17-inch rims are a much safer bet for 37-inch...

    My first FG

I'll second what everyone else is posting, you are probably way over the weight for a single stock tire! The only 'reason' I have heard for running a tireless rim on the back is to 'protect the brake drum', not for spacing. The rim is not that thick to change the track much. And the 'protect the...

    Mercedes Fuso ?

Fuso.... So do we post here Or because of this https://bb-portal.mercedes-benz.com/portal/home.html?&no_cache=1&L=en post here ? Just kidding. I was searching for a body builder manual for my 1017 and saw that on the website. So do we all go out and re-badge our Fuso/Canter like the...
