We've had good experience with a product called "Fresh Cab" (example link at Amazon).
We live full time in a 40ft toy hauler and take the van (wife's DD) once every few weeks throughout the year and no issues in either rig as long as we keep the FC fresh (we change the bags out once every...
Installing the BOR rear suspension kit in our rig
Cari has been wanting to beef up the rear suspension for a couple years now so i went ahead and ordered the Boulder Off Road kit for the Van.
Below is a picture of the parts received in the kit.
We are having our professional mechanic friend do...
While not on the Astro platform, our Astro's Big Brother Chevy AWD cargo-van-conversion has Rhinoliner on the rockers/fenders and we luv it. Very robust (it adds about a 1/4" of material over stock paint). We chose to have ours professionally done and it was worth the $$ for us.

Greetings and welcome to the forums. And enjoy the build/adventure in your rig.
Just as an FYI for any who might be "looking" for the rear bumper/galley box combo... we totally enjoy having them on our AWD van, even little hops to the dunes or a nearby river it is a quick swing and set for the...
Noticed your "Oshkosh" location. My dad and I flew (commercial) out to the fly-in back in 2000 for a week. Had a blast looking at all the experimental aircraft and the air show. Beautiful area.

on tire size... as a ramble... : )
One reason my wife and I chose the AWD platform is we'd seen the benefit of AWD in other vehicles (Volvo wagons over the years) while driving in our soggy conditions in Oregon. On the van, I didn't want to go to far away from the stock pizza cutter 245 aspect...
Thanks for sharing that well documented write up AND the "Cautionary note". I just checked our 2010 and it has the same config/location as you showed in your pic. Silly engineers what _weren't_ they thinking.

I've not bothered any recalibration. The tire size calculator I found online showed the differences from ~20mph up through ~70. I took mental notes along the way. On our speedo now (going from the stock ~29" to our ~33" ) will show 55mph and it is traveling 57. I had a State Trooper buddy tell...
Greetings,
I think that ~$25K~ is mostly doable for an EB. In our combination DIY (Insulation and fabric walls) and Pro interior (Van Specialties of Portland Oregon) with 24" fiberine solid top we have ~$15K~ (this includes the cost of top install). This was done in stages as we had a wood mock...
Nice shots of a great rig and fun area.
I showed my wife and said; "Gee honey, no matter how cool the rig there are more girlz like you that figure out some way to hide from the camera!"
;)

OH, as a PS...I see you two are from Portland Oregon. You picked a perfect time to be away from...
Just a thought in transit.
YMMV : )
Since you are married... and anyone else in the loop on who will be using the van will be, I would imagine, hoping to be OK being seen in such vehicle... I've rarely seen any DIY roof that most wives would be happy or excited with. Then you have the kid's...
Greetings, As seen in this full on view of our rig we have a stock body (no flares) and have a Rhino Liner treatment of the fender areas and rocker panels. We do see some dirt slinging but it is manageable for us, and the RL does take care of a lot of it in an esthetics point of view.
It cost...
I don't know about a dedicated tire thread for the AWD van but I shared what i'm using in _this post at my build thread_
With the ~3" lift I am running common stock-for GM trucks 265/70/r17 on 17x9 rims with a -12mm offset.
