2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Uberlanding Build

Went for a little drive yesterday with Laura, taught her how to put it in low range and get a little bit flexy. We took Hi-Mountain Road all the way to Pozo, nothing crazy, but a few offshoot trails to have some fun with.

I couldn't handle the hood mount anymore. It might be an interesting mount for performance, but there's no way it outweighs the negatives of it's location and interference with washer jets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks! It's certainly not cheap, but when you actually get the unit in hand it all starts to come together. People pay just as much for a roof rack these days. Putting a full size bumper on by myself, with no hoist or jackstands was pretty cool, especially because I did it with no strain...

I went with the Meguiar's, I'm sure there's better products out there, but this certainly did the job. Now about that Boeshield T9...

Almost done installing. It's been a while since I've been able to install a bumper on my own, without any struggles. I must be getting strong, or my equipment must be getting lighter. I can't believe how light this thing is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, that's pretty cool, just not sure I'll need 20 gallons. Looks like they've just renamed their auxiliary fuel tank. A bit unsure on removing the factory exhaust, I like it quiet. Is there an exhaust out there that offers some added performance but doesn't add any noise?

I'm hesitant to cut sheet metal right now, considering the vehicle just turned over 2,000 miles. However, I really like the idea of a water tank underneath.

I thought about doing something like that. It certainly has the potential to get pretty warm...but that's not exactly a bad thing. The key would be working out some kind of system to get water in and out without removing the drawer and fridge. The Front Runner slide out is looking better and...

    I'm back in a Jeep, a JKU

I like the shelf, and at $5 the price is certainly better than most of the options out there to buy.

Took a nice little jaunt today, about 120 miles of pavement and 60 miles of trails. Averaged 18.9 mpg. I'm pretty happy with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After building, modifying, and maintaining my 1997 Disco I, my 1993 FZJ80, my 1999 Jeep TJ, my 1971 Land Rover Series IIA 109, and my 1971 FJ40, I can say that I am ready for something new. I wanted a new car, it was a personal choice, Land Rover doesn't offer a new Defender in the 'States. End...
