From LR head designer Gerry McGovern, “DNA is the DNA—don’t ******k with it.” Land Rover design boss Gerry McGovern.
I can't find the exact article I read with an interview with him pretty much saying LR are designing their cars as hard to modify as possible because they believe they are perfect...
When i got that email from LR I laughed for a good 3.5 minutes. LR have to market their cars to young rich kids somehow haha.
$229(with parking) for 2 days of average pop music, no camping on site even though it is held at the same venue as Coachella Music Fesitval, no leaving you vehicle...
My LR3 had this code the whole time I owned it. It would only happen after about 20 min of dirt roads but never on even the worst streets. I know my front valve block was leaking as the front sank equally over night and the rear stayed level and pulling the fuses the front still sank. I bought a...
After my LR3 was destroyed by a high driver, this is me new 2012 LR4. Only option it has is the HD Package! Did 4 days offroad in the Sierras on some technical trails and not a single code thrown!!! I think there may be something wrong.....
All the stuff from my LR4 moved over except new Evo...
I ran 32" ko2(275/65R18) daily on a stock height 2005 LR3 and the only scrubbing was on the bumps in the rear wells for the aircon lines, mine was a 5 seater so I just heated them and pushed them in. Several times the car dumped itself and still could drive fine. Maybe I was just lucky with how...
Negatives,
-More wear on the suspension components as it's not designed to be at the height for great distances/speeds
-Way more wear on your drive shafts as they are at a more extreme angles going much higher speeds, especially if you use extended mode off road
-More risk of roll over at higher...
On the US website it says "Electronic Active Differential with Torque Vectoring by Breaking" with the offroad package, the picture for the package has little arrows next to the rear wheels so I guess that means rear? An yes I can't find anywhere on the US website that says it comes with center...
Side profile looks good, i'm not the hugest fan of the front. Will have to wait to see it in person though.
Every single photo of the 110 seems to have the covers on the rear 1/4 windows, does that mean full glass will never be an option?
As many here are the same, I don't believe lift rods are useful.
I use a Gaptool when needed to give it an extra bit of lift but run at stock land rover heights 99% of the time.
A bit of both, I wouldn't prolly go above 31.5" over all diameter but these wheels are quite wide at 8.5" so you wont want to go to narrow.
If you don't mind cutting stuff people have for 33" tyres.
Ko2 275/65R18. They rub quite a bit on the frame horns, which I will shorten just a touch once work has the workshop sorted out(just moved warehouses). I would recomend 265/65R18 not much smaller but prolly better much easier to live with.
Sorry ran out of time to take good photos in the sun. This is the Anthracite colour. I have since removed the white stickers, super easy and remove cleanly. There is not much room between the wheel barrel and the top of the caliper but heaps of room from inside the wheel face and caliper face.
I thought the V6SC has air intakes on both sides? So there is no room there for the battery outside of the battery boxes. Diesels only have 1 air intake giving you extra room in the engine bay.
I just did a dual battery on my 2012 LR4. I put it where the battery would go if I had a RHD vehicle...
