Let’s call it what it is, an upgraded off road setup for the Super Duty. For 90% of the truck owners it’s a great upgrade, especially if you need a diesel. It’s just not a Power Wagon.

I had a 2004 HD Hemi with 3.73 gears and 35” tires and the truck begged for 4.56’s. The 5spd auto in that truck did a lot of gear hunting. Had I not traded the truck in for my Power Wagon, it would have been regeared to 4.56’s with lockers.

The 5.7L is a great motor. Like I’ve said before, I had one in my 2004 HD Hemi and now in my 2012 Power Wagon. If you can get the price down a little I see no reason to avoid the 5.7L.

No, 2014 was the first year for the 6.4L and 4.10 gears in the Power Wagon.
