    inexpensive 12v tire inflator

Dewalt has a relatively new inflator that runs on 12V, 110V, 20V Max batteries, and lists at $99. Probably also runs on FlexVolt batteries. I might get one as a backup to my Warn SP-I OBA and move the Viair 300P to a different vehicle...

Wanted: Shop or private to install second battery

How many offroad shops are there in San Diego and southern Riverside counties? Call places like 4WP and ORW. Any competent independent shop should be able to handle the installation. This is not complicated. Am I missing something?

ARB Fridge Monitor New in Box

FYI, I just bought one a couple weeks ago from Northridge for $71, free shipping, no tax. Asked for the 5% discount and got it.

Wanted: Shop or private to install second battery

If you are near Fresno, I have a pro there that has done some work for me in So Cal before he got smart and escaped north. If interested I can PM his contact info.

    Making a rack better....help!

Tube clamps are a great idea. Take a look at tube clamps for mounting lights on bars and exoskeletons. The usually have a hole or a stud that you can mount other stuff to without welding.

Mounting ARB Rack to Fiberglass Shell

I like that Rhino ladder; my truck has a 5.5 lift so putting the RTT away can sometimes be tricky Mine is a Power Wagon on 35s, with the current rack on Yakima towers, so it's a stretch even standing on a milk crate. New rack mount should take a couple inches off the height and that might be...

    brake caliper hack needed

priority shipping from someone on ebay gives at best a 2 week window Why eBay? Many sellers are flaky, so why not order from a more reputable source like Autozone or Summit or Jeg's, get quick ship and a tracking number?

Mounting ARB Rack to Fiberglass Shell

the ladder looks all wrong. Is it really mounted to the chassis and the roof rack? Not a good idea as there is flex between these two points. It's been at least a couple of years since I saw that truck, but I have some other pics that show the ladder is mounted to the rack at the top and to...

Advice Needed:: Tacoma owner considering a ZR2

Can someone point to a failure, issue caused in the last 10 years? Would love to know what a huge problem this is. If you are asking about the F150s, there were lots of issues with the early Rapturds folding in the middle (between the cab and box), mostly due to flatbillers abusing the trucks...

Solar charger for Dewalt 20v 9ah battery system?

Not necessarily relevant to OP's question, but the video makes a point of running the truck while charging batteries. FWIW, I have charged Dewalt batteries all day long from my dash power ports without starting the truck, running two chargers simultaneously on two ports, and swapping out...

Mounting ARB Rack to Fiberglass Shell

Well, I spent a little over two weeks trying to get info or measurements or drawings from ARB, got nothing specific. So, yesterday I ordered a SmittyBilt Defender rack for the truck. Not my first choice, but at least I know it will fit, because the Smitty boys can actually answer specific...

    Threaded Battery Terminals ?

I think Grp 78 auto batteries are side terminal, and 34/78 and 78 DT have both side terminals and top posts. Side terminal batteries are shorter than the same battery with top posts, so will fit into some tighter spaces. I just fixed a problem with a side terminal on one of my 34/78s that...

    Longest lasting E rated 37s?

I've been running 35" Toyos on my Power Wagon since new. Started with MTs and then AT-IIs. ATs are quieter and are lasting longer than the MTs, MTs were better in sand and dirt. Noise from MTs was not objectionable, but I could hear them at low speeds. May go to Toyo RTs for the next set...

2009 Dodge Ram - Considering Building - Searching for Answers

You probably don't need "armor", except for a place to mount the winch. You probably don't need much of a lift, if any. You can probably get a set of skid plates off a wrecked Power Wagon, should bolt right on if yours is a 2500. If it's a 1500, you can probably adapt the plates. If you want...

Advice Needed:: Tacoma owner considering a ZR2

I don't think being economically rational has anything to do with buying new or used. An economically rational person looks at the life cycle cost of durable goods purchases. Most consumers are not economically rational. That keeps the marketing guys very busy, and quite happy.

Mounting ARB Rack to Fiberglass Shell

I have posted this pic before, not my truck but similar. This is a 4G Ram vs my 3G, both with SnugTop shells. This is the steel version of the ARB alloy rack that I'd like to use. Note the three towers, which is where the mounting points are. Guy at ARB told me there are four towers. Note...

    Lets talk security

A kill switch in a modern OBD-II truck will probably confuse the ECM computer and force it to relearn everything when you start the truck, unless it's wired so that it doesn't just disconnect the battery. Not that big a deal, but something to be aware of. At least on my Dodge Hemi, it took...

    Alternator Voltage Boost Modification

I specifically mentioned Ryobi, which has 4AH 18-20V LFP packs in their One+ form factor, apparently 5-10AH versions coming. The Ryobi 6ah One+ batteries are already on sale at Home Depot, two-pack for $119. Milwaukee will have 12ah M18s available in Q3.
