    What to do?

I see. Just wondering if something like a Colorado ZR2 would be a good compromise. Doesn't sound like it. I'd keep your truck and go on a shopping spree here: http://www.aev-conversions.com/shop/vehicle/ram Cool Excursion. Thing looks like a beast.

    What to do?

Maybe I missed it, but why do you need a truck? You mentioned you had a large property. Does this mean Home Depot runs to fix little things that would only require minimal hauling capacity, or are you doing some heavy hauling to require a 3/4 ton/diesel?

    Moving up from a Frontier.

I passed by a Z71 the other day. Looked pretty nice. I think it had a little lift and 32" tires which gave it a pretty aggressive look. Looking at the specs, do they come stock with 3.42 rear end? I wonder if the 4.10 would eat into MPG. Nice looking truck though. From what I've read, Ford...

And don't forget, optional rear end gearing and locking diffs. I think that would entice a lot of people over.

Just curious, for sake of discussion, do you personally know of anyone that has had turbo's replaced on their Ecoboost? Sincere question, not trying to argue. I know several people with Ecoboosts. Most or all are in the construction industry. Don't know of anyone that had engine issues...

Ok, watch carefully now...bringing it back around, full circle....for the 87th time.............that's why you go with a V6 full size. :D :D :D _ Truck I'm sure you could get a bit more off of that. Supercabs, which I believe have the same/similar back seat room as a double cab Tacoma, is a few...

A year with the 2015 Ram Power Wagon

Sway bar link being the only issue really isn't an issue at all. I'm sure those guys weren't easy on the truck. But man, best MPG of 12.6MPG at 65mph.....I don't think I could ever get used to that.

That's my bad. 3/36k for bumper/bumper. 5/60k for powertrain. I'm probably 13k/yr or bit less right now, so it'll take a few years before that runs out. But I hear you on the value of longevity. I've driven a 4-banger though, and while they're stout, so is the V6 (4.0 at least). Friend of...

Yep, knock on wood. 3yr/36k warranty. Block is pretty stout. CGI made from same as diesel motors. Turbos....they're liquid cooled, so theoretically they should last. But who knows? But man, the power heading up Loveland pass in CO is now a joy. Minimal power loss, thanks to turbos. My...

2017 Superduty Roof Gutter Trim Removal

Hey Jimmy, I don't know the answer, but I did find some pictures of what it may look like under the trim piece: http://www.f150forum.com/f118/roof-gutters-317754/index2/ I believe the cab is the same on the Superduty and F150, so I'd have to believe all trim pieces are the same as well...

As far as power, n/a V6 is 282hp/253tq, which isn't bad. No rocketship, but it will get the job done. You probably won't see much difference as the Frontier, I'm guessing (never driven a Frontier). You can get a 2.7L Ecoboost for not much more. That's what I've got, and it is FAST. More...

I really wanted to like the Sprinter or Sportsmobiles, but in reality, they're just too big (for me). Minivans may be a good size in between the Sprinter and Element. Only Sienna offers AWD, but for backcountry roads, it'd probably fall apart. Truck/camper is probably the best option for us...

    4th gen 4runner tire size

It could be a factor. I don't know if it would be enough to offset the height penalty of the 32" tire, but 6lbs per corner would definitely affect it. One advantage of LR E is the robustness of the sidewalls. Something to consider.

Those Westy/Syncro van prices are ridiculous. Way more so than Tacoma's! I think (one of) the modern equivalent is maybe a Honda Element with E-camper conversion. It lacks a bit in size, though. But still has good amount of room with that conversion and pretty reliable as well. They've got...

That's not a bad idea, either; BUT if this guy's going to be driving 30k miles per year, that's quite a toll on MPG. I'd imagine he'd be down at least 30-40% even with a small trailer. But if he only needs it for a couple of trips, may be a good option. (although--Frontier's are rated worse...

    4th gen 4runner tire size

"Usually" is the key word. Currently on tirerack.com, KO2's in 265/65 is cheaper than 265/70 by ~$80 (for 4 tires). I do agree there are more tires for the 265/70 size, but with tires like the BFG KO2's, and more road oriented A/T's like Michelin AT2's (among others), I don't know if that is...

Looking at some of the used market truck pricing, I'm thinking I should have saved myself $10k+ and bought one of these: Truck 1 Truck 2 Some good deals, IMO. Like I've said before, I don't know of a single person with an N/A 3.5L V6 that's had problems. Just a good workhorse of an engine.

    4th gen 4runner tire size

I noticed the difference more on my old 3rd gen (3.4L) 4Runner going from 31 to 32" tires. I don't think you will notice as much difference, since you've got more power, but it will still be there. Also, MPG will decline a bit. _ I don't know the roads you drive, but if you're not rock...

Full-size vans may make sense if it will be used in a camper config. like the OP plans to do. To tell the truth, I had been looking at Sprinters, as they would be AWESOME on family camping trips. It would get the girls out without (much) complaining. All that room, especially in high-roof...
