    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Thanks and to you as well! Oil is over $50 again as of today, but I'm not holding my breath... Good to know. I have done ZERO research other than how much of a PITA these are to install. Good thing one of my best friends is a Toyota Tech... I wonder if he knows what's coming? haha

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Headers inbound.... thanks Connor for the tip. I was sorta-kinda-not-really-looking but I can post pone other plans as my factory ones have started to tick. Can't wait to get these installed!

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Maybe slightly. Keeping the Legcay pretty mild. STi BBS 18x8.5" wheels in the spring but I have to run spacers to convert the bolt pattern.... the extra width may require me to roll the fenders but I want it pretty tame.

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Yah I plan on rolling the fender lip ala "hella-flush" style. haha Although I'd really like to ad 1" wheel spacers in the rear to level out the width of the stance a little. If I do that... I want be going inside the fenders - ever. Damn you.

Leaf Suspension Tech - Planning for my 04' Tundra

A decent link worth reading over on TS: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/suspension-and-axle/155943-getting-most-flex-out-rear-stock/

Leaf Suspension Tech - Planning for my 04' Tundra

Glad to finally see some bites and hopefully you find some useful tech in here! Yah they are pretty popular with the older crowd but undoubtedly long. The front hanger typically hangs off the frame (unless you french the hanger into the frame) but really I don't think that is that big of a...

Leaf Suspension Tech - Planning for my 04' Tundra

Stock leafs are 2-1/4" wide. Chevies are 2-1/2" wide. I forgot to measure length of stock leafs.

    Tire choice struggle.

I ran the ST Maxx in 265/75/16 on my 04' Tundra. I loved them. They are a heavier tire but I thought them to be a good-at-everything tire so I was satisfied wherever they were put to use. They look really good too. I never found them overly stiff but it depends what pressure you run them at as...

Leaf Suspension Tech - Planning for my 04' Tundra

I'll get the axle to fender measurement for you next time I'm in the garage, not a problem. My Wheelers pack rides excellent and does just fine with weight. It is definitely a good option for those that just want some lift while keeping everything else constant. I'm chasing a little more flex so...

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Started a discussion here regarding the rear suspension planning: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/138032-Leaf-Suspension-Tech-Planning-for-my-04-Tundra More build thread related, I pulled all of my 10mm screws that hold the fender flares on in the rear as i was getting some...

Leaf Suspension Tech - Planning for my 04' Tundra

Hey guys/gals, I'm starting to consider rear suspension options for my 04' Tundra. For those that aren't aware, it's a SOA leaf spring with the inverted rear shackle design which hangs outward of the rear frame rails. This thread is primarily to gain knowledge on upgrade options based on others...

    dyogim's 00 tundra build

Thanks I really appreciate it. While your in there would you mind measuring you uptravel (theoretical) numbers from your strike pad to the top of your bump stop while at ride height? Just curious what kind of uptravel your getting... although I'm assuming your truck is bumped appropriately which...

    dyogim's 00 tundra build

How much lift do your "lift springs" achieve? Are they a 2" lift spring for example? I'm hoping some stock 63's with a shackle flip and the factory shackle would net me around 2-3" lift. Are you still using the factory shock mounts?

    dyogim's 00 tundra build

I've been creeping on this truck for a LONG time. It's a great truck and it seems to suite your purposes quite well. Props to being one of the first to go down the SAS road with the Tundra! I'm currently debating my options for the rear end. My plan was to do a shackle flip, custom deavers, and...

1993 Toyota Pickup - Desk to Glory v2.0

Super jealous Richard! Will be following the blog as usual. I'd love to pick your brain on this whole thing one day and me and my fiance would love to head South (maybe not as far) in the Tundra before we have kids.
