It may also have to do with mounting. FWC's website says they will not mount on the Colorado either due to no place for mounting hardware.

Gr8tops has kits for 4 door and 2 door for JK/JKU. The 4 door kits can either be ordered as a 2 door conversion with larger bed or a 4 door with smaller bed. Did not know action camper had closed. They have designs for JL and gladiator so assumed they were still going.
