    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Will do! I'm trying to trade a couple days of work to make a meeting in Prescott, I'll send you a PM as the time gets closer. Thanks!

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Looks like a nice spot to camp! Can I ask what part of Nevada you live in? I'm driving from Oregon to Louisiana in a few weeks, and I'm trying to meet Mario in Prescott to check out the Habitat top, and I'd really love the chance to check out the ursa minor j30 if you would be willing to let me...

    MPG

2012 six speed, 4.10's, 35" km2s, stock bumpers, 15-16 city / 17-18 highway, driven hard. With all the disappointments of a poorly built product I am actually pleased with mileage. Lol Stock, I was getting 19mpg highway. Didn't drive it in the city at all before installing lift/tires.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Even with 35s I started finding a bunch of weak spots, but I couldnt stand the stock rubicon and it wouldn't work well on rutted out muddy trails around here anyway. Damn I need to get out to Utah more, driven past canyonlands a couple times in other vehicles (will be again next month) but...

New JK Stubby Bumper from ARB

I think the Poison spyder stubby looks soooo much better personally. Plus it has fog light holes. I guess the winch sits a little lower in the arb but I'd take the poison spyder any day myself.

    The Bellvis Boobicon JK

I was thinking the same thing. Looks great (I'm also partial to the black/white theme) but I'd be working on the axles a bit myself. I'm running 35s and paranoid about bending the front axle. I have inner axles sleeves, c gussets, an axle truss and synergy ball joints for my front d44...

    Jeep Wrangler Habitat Official Release

I thought about bugs with a rear kitchen setup, figured it could be problematic! Because of that I was almost thinking I wouldn't even want the sliding stove and everything, as handy as it looks. I wonder if it makes sense to sew some screen material into a light canvas "frame", and sew a...

2012 JKU Sport Build - "AlternateLive" - The shotgun approach...

Well I would pick up a couple of those things if I was headed down there again soon! I had an 86 VW Vanagon Syncro (4x4) several years ago, so I can appreciate the westfalia build. I'd love to start again with a nice syncro westy but they have become so insanely rare and expensive. Lots of...

New Rubicon, time for tire decisions

Jim you have a different engine, the 3.6 doesn't need (and probably wouldn't like) gearing as low as the 3.8 needs. Mine has 4.10s and 35s and it isn't bad, running the numbers says that a 34" tire (most 35s) with 4.56 gearing is already lower than stock 4.10s and 32" tires. In all honestly...

New Rubicon, time for tire decisions

My experience is that km2s work better in snow/ice than the cooper stt. I would recommend siping the center tread blocks for snow/ice, but when I lived in Kentucky everyone looked at me sideways when I asked if they siped tires. Maybe they do it in Ohio, I don't know, pretty much any tires get...

Very nice! On a side note, I like the painted snorkel too!

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

No real wheeling lately just a little wandering. By the time I get back home I'll have spent only 8 out of 46 days at (or near) home, damn work! I drove up Mackenzie pass in Oregon a week ago to watch the sunrise through the smoke of a forest fire. Then I headed out to Ollalie lake...

How about switching from forced air furnace to catalytic heater?

A few people at rv.net forums have the vented platcat heaters in truck campers and other RVs. They are thermostatically controlled, and can be because they are electric ignition. There isn't hi/lo settings, it cycles like a furnace would. There is a very small fan to draw out the fumes and...

    Jeep Wrangler Habitat Official Release

Good luck! I'm looking forward to lots of pictures and hearing some honest reviews!

What's new at Coyote RV/Phoenix Pop up?

It's probably more about capability than looks. The camper I was drawing up for my f150 would have fit about like that, back end flush with the bumper. I wanted as much room/length as possible without additional overhang. No need to add a fancy skirt around it when the factory tail lights are...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Yeah, I'm interested to see how the habitat material does in rain and snow. A rain fly generally makes a huge difference in condensation alone so I have to wonder how well it works without anything.

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Easier setup/break down Few places for rain/snow to collect with vertical walls and a hard top. Lower profile Less weight/height than a RTT, hard top, HD rack Ability to carry things on the roof along with the tent Ability to stand up inside Never have to load a heavy RTT before a trip or...

    Pentastar Engine Problem

They still won't really say what the problem actually is or what conditions cause it. Seems a bit shady when you just spent nearly $40k on a brand new one, and they only say "it isn't a problem except when it is, due to certain conditions..." riiiight.
