Well, the full size as stated above is marginally bigger footprint but much roomier inside. Personally, I’ld go 3500 SRW vs 2500 (unless considering the PW) as you get considerable increase in payload/trailering for minimal dollars- you never know what the future holds!!

A compromise for sure, and no perfect answer. One thing to remember- the smaller the kids the more stuff you will be hauling. A true inverse relationship- toys, strollers, play pens, etc etc. So likely the ‘perfect’ setup will be elusive as your needs/interest/destinations/etc will change...
