I use non-watertight Anderson SB50s for everything. Easy, works. Water is not an issue for low-voltage under most circumstances for things you are deploying when required.

Right, I see that point now. I still feel like the panel itself should be protected, but it’s probably fine.
I have a length of 6ga run from the battery to the panel which is in he rear of my truck. 30A fuse at the battery.

The breaker/fuse at the battery is to protect the wire it is on. So factor how large of a wire that is, to get your correct fuse rating. I would avoid a breaker as they encourage one to just reset it and stick one's head in the sand, when there is a problem.
My GARB also arrived and I’ve mounted it up. Seems very well made and I like the vertical side pocket a lot. The mounting system is odd but appears to work.
Time will tell the rest of the story!
Yeah, normally, bug shelters are fully screened. Mine has a large zipper I can use to access the side of the vehicle, but I generally just walk to the other side…

Just received the latest OJ and they reviewed 270º awnings. Alu-Cab got the Editor's Choice and Rhino Rack the Value Award. Darche would have done much better except for the difficulty in using its storage bag.
How large is the bank? (I didn't read all the way back.)
Float charge could be 2.7A if the bank is large enough, I think. (Could be wrong on that.) Meaning the monitor is wired to the shunt backwards…

Mine is also black. I've never noticed if it was hot, since I don't generally have to touch the top surface. It does seem to do a good job baking the humidity out of the linens inside it, though. :)
