Either going to modify a ATO 2nd Gen Tacoma one or build one.
Thanks Sean! I've always watched your Tundra thread to see your next move. I'll be over in your thread frequently for info I'm sure!
They are expensive. Just haven't found another bolt-on slider alternative. I had the Stubbs slider...
******** yah that pic is a real keeper. Glad I can provide the rarest of wallpapers however awkward that may be. haha
Tundra planning has begun. I'll probably start a build thread here shortly. I was very very close to ditching the Tundra and buying a local LX470 with 60,000 miles but I just can't...
haha no problem!
Well, it's the end of a relatively short era. Tom Cruiser has moved on to a new home. My co-worker bought it, so I get to look forward to drooling over a really awesome LX450 everyday at work! At least I can keep on top of him to keep it clean and rust free. He's already...
Looks aren't everything? Maybe I'm just shallow.
Did you get 315/70/17 MT/R Kevlars? I love mine. Great tire although you may find they are also not the best to balance and wear pretty quick. Awesome offroad though, no question there.
Love this truck, lets see some more pics!
Lol thanks Mason! I was checking your wicked wave pics on IG the other day. Oh and congrats on the engagement buddy!
Thanks Isaac. The truck leaves my possession in a few hours. VERY bittersweet as deep down I don't want it to go. 100 series would be cool but I' scared that it's just TOO big...
That bumper looks pretty good, although IMO very similar to the earlier Tacoma All-Pro bumpers.
FWIW I heard that Scotty @ addicted offroad will also be releasing a 1st Gen Tundra bumper next year in the tube/hybrid format that he currently sells for the Taco/4Runner crowd.
I've also been in...
Thanks!
A few photos from the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. I got back out to Nelson BC and got some R&R while myself and my two brothers were all home at once, something that hasn't happened in the last two years. No wheeling photos but some photos of our outdoor wanderings.
The North end of...
I really like the switch mounting location up top. I was also thinking of making some kind of mount for switches below the ash tray area. Not sure what center console you have but that little hidden compartment would be cool to remove and make a custom enclosure in there, maybe even mount a...
Great post! I havent ran the Whipsaw Trail since 2011 but it was a lot of fun then, and I'm sure it still is now! I recognized a lot of the obstacles in your photos. BC is such a pretty place, I grew up in Nelson BC and strive to head back every chance I get!
Nice Sequoia BTW. Did you find the...
Never really tracked it.... I got just about 550 kms on the last tank and filled it with 87Litres if I recall. That's highway driving loaded with wheeling/camping gear.
Not the first, or the last, to say such things... lol
Cats out of the bag. Yes, it's currently for sale.
I've got too many vehicles right now and need to downsize with a wedding on the horizon and a few other large capital expenditures. I have a work truck (that RARELY moves) and the LX and two cars. Need to condense the toy/work truck into 1 so...
Regarding the leafs, good call on the pins and spring rates. Might just be better off getting alcans...
Stupid ABS... might just get it over with and pull the system and run a Wilwood proportioning valve. Seen a few builds lately with this and once its setup seems to be awesome. Especially with...
Bumping a classic thread. Been doing a lot of research on my upcoming project and really enjoyed reading through this build in its entirety. I appreciate the slow progression as your needs change and developed. I built my last truck in a rapid fashion, and I felt that it was not as satisfying as...
I'm leaning 4.56 gears too for 35's. However I have 4.10's now (limited w/LSD) and feel like it could probably turn the 35's ok without a re-gear. I have a potential line on a COMPLETE 4.7 TRD Supercharger. I'm wondering if this would make up for a re-gear cause it would be roughly the same...
Nice score on the diff! Definitely a great deal.
You purchased the T100 4.30s and they didnt work... but can we run the 4.30 gears from a 1st Gen Tacoma as they would have the 8.4" rear diff also? Im assuming any 4.30 7.5" diff from a 3rd Gen 4Runner or 1st Gen Tacoma would work? Now all this...
