One item to understand if you don't already is that premium coolers lasting a week are half or more filled with ice. I think that's where they shine because those are conditions where weight will begin breaking a cheaper cooler.
On a typical run I don't have to get more ice like my friends do...
Not really much you can do. Some people use the shake siphons so that they can leave them on the roof and just siphon into the tank.
If you do in fact use fuel cans alot then, as said above, the roof is a spot to avoid.
in case you feel like paying more this radio you can pick it up for $85 here:

and per there advertising if your friends are on GMRS/FRS you can "just switch it over to those channels".
Joking aside its...
Thank you for the critical review on the tent. I have a feeling your issues may be common with at least the affordable Chinese tents if not more. I think a guy with more money invested would just show up saying " Happy Tepui RTT and Awning owner here. Use it all the time", instead of looking for...
alright ill bite on this... If I were to buy a tent today it would be between these two. Correct me if I'm wrong but they are a comparable design? The price is also relatively close. What makes yours better?

I can feel for the op since he's clearly getting the run around. I apreshiate the info since Chinese tent middlemen are everywhere and the prices are not that far apart to deal with things like this.
use what ever you can to make the design you want. I had a idea for no frills and light so I ended up with this. My first platform was really heavy from 3/4" plywood. All of the old ones weight was very high in the truck and install/remove was back breaking.
I would not keep a military wag bag in my vehicle once used. They seal fairly well but I have not seen anything else to compair it against. They smell much much better then they should but definitely not scent free by the end of the trip
Also remember lift isn't linier to shaft movement since the shock is at a variable angle throughout its range of motion.
I had limit straps in addition to lowered bump stops with my old set up...it was a huge compromise for all around wheeling to increase rock crawling.
With the shocks I have...
You'll find straight up and down requires one compressed length and flex requires another. I had ~14.5 compressed and ~24 extended but ended up needing to drop down the frame bumps because it was actually jaming the shocks in the compressed position during flex. Maybe they would have been fine...
Sure they are "set" considering the front end of a Tacoma can vary by 350 lbs lol. No real way around messing with them but when they are settled they will be pretty darn consistant after that. I don't think you guys with the newer Tacoma's have as much bump steer as 1st gens so your alignment...
the springs are going to settle over the first few wheeling trips so I would just start with the snugged down a 1/4" past seated . Unfortunately you will have to mess with it to achieve the height you want as they settle. Find a base line height measurement for now that you can reference
What did you have to modify up front and to the stock rear linkage? I don't think my CV joints will support 16" and I know I'm at a 45 degree angle on my upper links at 13" in the rear. I'm 3rd gen though
I'm still not tracking on the benefits of frozen salt water. You would just change the freezing point. Unless your goal is 29 F water, then you wouldn't benefit. Youd be better off with normal ice at -10 F. Adding salt to ice already frozen has a temporary effect if you are tailgating.
go with the results people have had with your particular type of rig as far aftermarket parts. Napa has been better then autozone for 95-04 tacoma/96-02 4runner.
best option is (as said above) junk yard or used OEM. Even if the boot is torn you can reboot them no problem so long as the guts...
