    2000's-ish 4Runner for Expo Build?

You're good up to a 33" in the stock spare location for expo, but certainly if you are gonna wheel then it will be hanging too low and tire carrier cant be beat. Especially when interior and roof space is at a premium after a good expo, crammed to the gills, pack job :) They wheel really well...

    Tacoma IFS Common Problem?

yes. The 4wheel drive actuators vary but you can bolt on your original one to what ever diff you buy and slap the unit in there. Enjoy...they are heavy and cumbersome to remove and install. Also locked 7.5" diffs are ok. The arb locker actually replaces the spider gears that are a weak point of...

    2000's-ish 4Runner for Expo Build?

just reading the initial post I'd skip the bumpers unless you plan to ********** them on rocks often. The stock bumpers are available from junkyards or other wheelers for cheap if you have a oops moment and cant live with a dent. Radiator protection can be made for far less money and weight then the...

wow hard to beat that for the price. I hardly drink coffee but a few K-cups and one of these would be nice to have on hand. Thanks for the post!

    ARB Fridge/Freezer Cash Rebate!

A few things I noticed that help raise the price is they have drain plugs and better locations for their controls vs the dometic/Weaco models they are based on. P.S thanks tjrubicon for stirring up the fan boys. You had a perfectly reasonable question aimed at the best possible person to answer it.

    My new candle lanterns

Alright I've learned way too much about candles in the last day of owning this lantern haha. First off a true 3/4" wide candle will work but will also melt its way up through the holder and end up dripping a bit. Not really a problem, but its not ideal. Secondly the standard dining room...

    My new candle lanterns

Thanks for the review. My brass one came in today and I like it. It seems to be OK on some 3/4 by 5" candles I found at the grocery store. The shabbat candles I found are too narrow unfortunately.

CO & Low-O2 Alarm for Camping?

I use these for low o2. I don't think there is anything cheaper http://www.amazon.com/BW-Technologies-GAXT-X-DL-2-GasAlert-Measuring/dp/B00ANVCE3W

    why 33s and not 32s?

Dont figure in a lift to clear tires. Unless you extend your bump stops the tire will still travel in the same arc when the suspension is compressed. Keep that in mind when reading opinions here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/256010-will-255-85-16-fit-stock-2013-taco-2.html That...

    why 33s and not 32s?

yup thats a big truck for small tires. The jeep is another conversation. Your truck will surprise you when you get a chance to try it out.

    why 33s and not 32s?

Dont lift or mod unless you have to. The truck will never be more all around functional then as it comes from the factory. In this age of lifting with tires, a big truck like that is going to look cream puff with anything smaller then 37"

    So...why can't I build a GX460?

you can build anything. People pick base vehicles to suit their needs, fabrication skills and wallet. There are paths of least resistance and those are the most common builds. You can build a rock crawler out of a 2015 vw beetle of a 85 4runner. Ones a little more sensible then the other.

    Flashlights

Huge thread so I didn't read it all but I use multiple flashlights for my hobby of mine exploring. I need lthe most light I can get and back ups to back ups since single points of failure are not a option regardless of perceived brand quality. Budgetlightforums.com is where I would go looking...

What is the best spring rate for coilovers?

Didnt read the whole thread but you can judge your required spring rate by the amount of preload you are using to get your desired ride height. If you are not preloading at all then the springs are too stiff. If you are preloading the heck out of them then they are too soft. You want the...

    Closeout on Grizzly cooler colors

Thanks for the link. They seem to be very high priced to begin with and the list of potential defects along with the sold "as is" dosnt vote well. The exception might be the mega sized ones that could be a value for fisherman or hunters. Ive been keeping my eyes open for a cheapo smallish one to...

    Treeline Outdoors Half Hatchet

Good find on the Walmart made in america hatchet. I think "expo" is sort of a target market for this type of thing where basic items are elaborated into extreme profits. We have to look out for each other for sure. Blind "get what you pay for" policys will hurt you unless you have enough cash...

Petition to End the 25 year import law and bring it down to 15 years

Without even knowing about the law you can guess they picked 25 years to make sure it's just collectors interested in the vehicles. At 15 it would defeat the purpose since that opens up relevant vehicles to more then just nostalgic car lovers. Good luck but your pretty much asking the govy to...
