Still better than the LC as in big improvement lol. Yeah not super impressed with the 06 brakes but they are ok for light use. Also not impressed with Toyotas rear drive lines. I had a replacement built for my Sequoia the original was junk. Its even a bigger issue for the longer tundras.
For the cute mini SUVs I would buy another Subaru Outback even though I hate our 5 dealers so much I would live to see them go out of business. I’m not a big fan if the CVT either but my old tired 2010 Outback ran circles around a couple of the dads various RAV4 ‘s the AWD in them is absolute...
Yeah my Land cruiser rotors were tiny. And all the Toyota nuts worship that thing like its a god. The down side was pads that could be at wear bars in 8000 miles.
Family of 4 active family we sail, bike hike etc. Last 8 yrs we have used the original Lifetime tent trailer. Its basically a 4x6 utility trailer that has two 60x75 inch beds on each side of the 4x6 box with a heavy tent over it.
Negatives are time for setup and tear down. Wind! And Grizzly NP...
6ft+ bed with short length kids bunk o cot on the floor and the AT Habitat was one idea I had. But then I keep running into SUV seating for 7 challenges ie pickup isn’t in the cards for a while. Especially after hauling several aging grandparents a number of times recently. Our trailer program...
The anti sway tech seems to really confuse people and probably shouldn’t be called anti sway. All modern vehicles today have stability systems that will work to keep things right side up and pointed in the right direction but they don’t fix the cause of sway. Especially with trailers that may...
Its actually a interm frame. A all new ground up frame has been in the works for some time. The new frame will be used for the Bronco. I would assume the new frame was needed to accommodate hybrid/plugin technology and enable modern multiple model uses. The current one is a modified version of...
Gelcoat works well when you spay it into a smooth mold. Once you sand it or rub it with abrasives the sealed surface comes off and your left with a porous surface. Paint it and be a happy camper. Paint will be lighter also.
Yeah if you can keep the trailer to 12/13 ft and your not driving a 25ft long full sized something leaving trailer on works. My Sequoia first gen with our 4x6 lifetime original tent trailer flies under the radar. But like many here it has negatives. Setup /tear down time, oh and Monsoon winds...
Skip the gelcoat even us boater types go strait to the high quality marine paint. Easier, more durable, more stain resistant etc. gelcoat is pretty porous and hard to do right unless you have more complicated gear. Vs the good paints are far easier to use. Also paint it a light gray or white. It...
We paid $400 below invoice Titanium trim. $34,500. Then took $7500 in tax credits.
Great car trunk is tiny but doesn’t matter for our use. Only honda I own is a 2hp outboard motor
The Sienna awd is the same platform only more roomy. I’ve seen a number of them with rear seats stripped out with a full sized bed built in with lots of storage.
The best setup Ive seen is truck camper on flatbed trailer. Camper is pushed back so overhang is covering front section of the trailer bed. Box is built under the over hang for motorcycle or other stuff.
I would just have somebody with a big heavy truck drag a double axle water tank trailer up. Then do your dry gear in the trailer. I’ve done crew support for large Triathlon events the amount of stuff check points can require is crazy having one guy with a truck being charged to drag all of it to...
Yeah 21ft for their smallest trailer misses a big market. I find the folks in my area with the most purchase power also don’t like paying storage fees on toys used a a week or two a yr. So smaller package for home storage ability, multi use capability vs strictly RV use also a big deal.
