The Fusion gets replaced by the new Escape battery is under the floor
Neighbor has the insight ugly as sin I’d just get the T3 instead. My mom has the T3. Nice car
The 13kwh battery is about 150lbs the Electric motor might be 80lbs. Whole kit is probably 300lbs with coolant and gear. For free around town driving on my solar power off my house I’ll take it
You mean like 3L V6 400hp and the EV portion is 50hp and another 150ftlb of torque? I have a hard time understanding what else it won’t do? Ford didn’t derate the new Plugin Aviator.
Wifes Energi has been a impressive ride. 70+mpg commuter average. Charged both directions. I want a truck that runs EV 15-25 miles. All my kids sports and activities have my Sequoia doing 15mpg.
Everything except the panels is contained in a 50cal ammo box. Box is mounted to the front plate of my 4x6 Lifetime tent trailer the original one with two full sized beds on each side.
We power strip lights in the tent, 12v charging puck, tongue box light, and a ATV LED spot light on the back...
Once you fool with it you’ll be a solar fan. I built a 18ah battery system 7 yrs ago my controller is similar $30 Amazon item. I use 2 10watt panels. Still going strong on the 2nd battery
Yes the Ranger would be my choice. Torque and 10spd being really nice. Interior is roomy of the three midsized truck choices. Only bummers are only short bed and no front locker. The LB would be my choice so I can fit bikes with gate up.
Vapor ware seems to be a trend with small camp trailer builders. Some advice if they want more than $500 you need to live close by so you can pop in and make sure they are building your trailer every week.
We have a saying in the boat business. Quickest way to make your first million start...
I have a sail boat. US sailors always have a sail maker on call. I have had mine fix tents, replace panels in tents, even make custom duffel bags, covers and the like. If you have a product made in Australia and it needs a zipper. Pay your local sail maker $30 to fix it. ?♂️
Not when a Explorer station wagon is hitting $60,000. The Bison looks like a screaming deal.
A SUV on the Canyon/Colorado platform with the fancy suspension, wider stance, lockers would be interesting. Especially if it had 2seat overflow mini 3rd row for occasional kid bus needs.
The van thing will be interesting given I feel like van buyers are far more price savy and reliability Sensitive than say truck buyers who get really wound up on axel versions, gear box models etc. A big part no doubt being most have less interest rock crawling their second home than a pickup...
I think my biggest issue with the engine option is the lack of grunt where it matters. Then you list all the other stuff like cab fit seat position, mileage, drum brakes, light payload early 2000’s transmission then look at the price and its just brand perception people are buying. Given the...
Unless the axle isnt quite square nothing you listed would suggest inside wear other than possibly under inflated tires? However if its a 3500lb axle and your running 1500lbs ish does it get bouncy going over rough spots on the highway? I wonder if a lighter spring pack would help?
