    Pioneer platform and Yakima RTT

How about a block in front of a block on top of a block? ;) I'm about as aerodynamic as an aircraft carrier sailing sideways, I figure.

    Pioneer platform and Yakima RTT

This project nearly killed me, but I did figure out how to mount my Tepui tent completely flush onto my Rhino Rack. I hated the idea of adding another set of crossbars (more height clearance, more wind noise, more top-heavy). But I wouldn't recommend this project to anybody. It was way too...

New Jeep JK/JL Molle Panels from Tribe16

Just ordered a set of the flank panels! And I bought one of the front row para panels. I figure it will be great for keeping the sun shade from flapping on top of my head at 65mph on the highway.

    Is my Jeep too heavy?

Here's a photo of a trek in March with the backpack instead of the Jeep. Yes - a tree tent in the snow. Madness. But that was kind of the point . . . But that topic is a whole different thread altogether, but it kind of goes quiet once summer rolls around . . ...

    Is my Jeep too heavy?

Love this thread. Thanks all! And just realized I forgot to post the update that I ordered an Expedition 2.0 trailer from Off Grid (and got the Expo West discount). Will post some pics when I get it set up and dirty on some adventures. After thinking about it (and considering all of the...

    Is my Jeep too heavy?

I wonder what the GVW is on this JKU build? I know it's the reason AEV developed the high-capacity springs that are mentioned a few times earlier in this thread.

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

Definitely. And the pizza stone. It required a few extra bucks, but the addition of those two items really helps to calibrate the temperature. Due to wind and the variability of the propane output through the cheap Coleman stove burner, the temperature will yo-yo quite a bit on its own. When...

Can I connect the new Dometic PLB40 to a YellowTop?

Eight hours after disconnecting, the PLB40 still reads 13.06v and the YellowTop reads 8.8v. So the conclusion is that it is fine to set up my configuration as described and pictured in the original post? But just assume that I'll only get 150-200 cycles from the YellowTop instead of 300-400...

Can I connect the new Dometic PLB40 to a YellowTop?

OK - the results are in! Let me know what how I should interpret what happened: 1) I charged the PLB40 at home with the AC adapter to 100% and measured its voltage at 13.66v. 2) I plugged the PLB40 into the Dometic fridge and let it run for four days, checking the voltage a couple times. At...

Like all the reviews online suggested, the built-in dial read 50F low. I actually don’t mind bringing the digital probe along with the kit. It certainly small and helps me calibrate the stove flame because you can see how rapidly the temperature is rising/falling. I will say, I had an easy...

Yep - that’s my plan for the test cook. Probably won’t need the remote sensor since I’m assuming I’ll have to adjust the stove flame a lot and will be standing next to it the whole time. I’m hoping the pizza stone helps a lot.
