You need a link to your site here. This is a fascinating idea! I just glanced at it in my QST but will give it a full read in the near future.

One of the things that I added to my DL650 hack a couple of years ago is a Touratech tankbag. This tankbag was (is) made for the BWM R100GSA rigs. Not too many of these air heads needing them anymore. I got my NOS one in a swap for a different tank bagfrom a friend. These are really...
If I do go with this installation method, I'll used the driver's side mount on the ARB bumper to install my Diamond NR770HB 2m/70 cm antenna. I will use a new Diamond C101 UHF base connecotr and c110 extension to get the cabling to below the front passenger's seat. I should get a shot of the...

The PO had this Tarheel mounted to the center of his rear hatch using a Diamond K44/3/8C deluxe trunk/hatch mount. I'm taking the guts from that setup and using it on the ARB. The only downside is that the mount insulates the antenna base from being grounded directly to the...
Dan,
I think we are on the same page here. This is a pic of my 2000 Tacoma with a Model 100 (?) Tarheel bracket mounted to the steel rear bumper. (I should never have sold that truck!)
Here is how I plan to mount the Little Tarheel II to the front ARB bumper on my 5th gen 4Runner.
I just picked up a Little Tarheel II screwdriver antenna. I am planning on mounting it on the upper light mount on my ARB bumper. The bumper is on my 5th gen 4Runner. Reasoning for that location is that I don't want to drill a hole in the sheetmetal primarily, but also want to have that...
Another Moab pic from March, 2018. Wifey starting to like camping but had to get her a Mr Heater Buddy and promise not to drive so many miles every day to get a promise to go again. Well worth it. We had a couple of partly cloudy days with temps almost up to 60. But many others with rain...
This came with a set of Warn fog lights I picked up several years ago. Never used as I wired the lights directly into the existing 4Runner harness. Time to find a new home for kit. Having a remote switch is a neat addition.

The rope came off my 9.5 ComeUp winch. It is in very good shape. Used once to pull some bushes out of my neighbor's front lawn. Reason for sale: went back to wire rope.

where in the world did you find that beautiful leading link front suspension? Are you going to add a steering dampner?
I'd really like to put something like that on Precious. The major downfall with my DL650/DMC has always been the front end.

thanks for your quick reply! a couple more questions; you're already plumbed for water, how hard would it be to add a sink and stove units? Is the radio Bluetooth capable?
this is really a great setup. Just looking at what it would take to make it a longer range, time frame camper. example...
I forgot to say that the engine is a 4.0 L V6 and my trailer probably weighs 1,200 lbs loaded. You have a few more ponies under the hood to begin with.
