    Toyota Tacoma purchase Southern California

Basically figure out what model / trim and options you want then simply email the online sales guy. I did this with our Ford even with over 12 independant dealers within 60minutes it took a few days to get one dealer to crack into the acceptable pricing for the exact car. Once I had that it was...

    Toyota Tacoma purchase Southern California

Just know most of the toyota dealers especially the jumbo places are all owned by the same Auto Group. Same as in Norcal. Dont view the seeable inventory as a deciding factor given all of the dealers especially the Auto Group owned meter out very specific models and trims to carefully manage the...

    Canadians... What's it really like?

I’ve always wondered if those who go out to quiet woodsy places to shoot at things pick up their lead after? Given how many people seem to migrate to shooting spots it doesnt take long before the area qualifies for a superfund clean up. I like shooting as much as the next guy but I try to avoid...

Wood stove in back of pickup?

We do it on sailboats all the time. Small spaces dont need much to heat. The stove can be pretty small. An oil lamp can often be enough heat in some cases.

I don't see much 200 series here, any particular reason?

If you enjoyed the 4runner the Sequoia is just a up sized version of the 4runner I like ours. The 200’s are pricy and pretty lux, like you I kinda dont think I would go that route ever due to price. Plus there are many nice options out there today for far less $. I have the 4.7 in my Sequoia...

How often do you clean your Solar panels?

    Security cameras for overland vehicles

I have wondered if there was any networked cameras that can operate without webconnection. But as long as your within range to the camper you can see the system? And in places where you have web connection you can monitor the camper from remote location?

How often do you clean your Solar panels?

My big house system 29 panels twice a yr. once after the pine pollen is done and once after the fire season. Which means next week. 45minutes with a ladder and a 30ft pool pole with a window squeegie on the end. A van? 5 minutes do it when ever they are dirty.

AEV Colorado ZR2 concept just went live

The stock out of the box zr2 did the Rubicon, which isnt easy. I dont think it needs much other than an ice box with beer and someone with vacation days to go places other than to the office.

    New to Cruisers-Family Friendly?

I owned the j80 for 8 yrs loved it but the body ie crash durability is nothing like the the 100series which would even today be considered a very crash worthy rig.

    New to Cruisers-Family Friendly?

Go 100 series its a modern rig, safe, solid smooth family hauler that can handle some tough ground. I would not want to be in my old J80 in a bad wreck. Especially after spending time in more modern vehicles. Modern rigs are tough and safe rigs A 100 would wad up a J80 like a tin can if they hit...

    Is my Jeep too heavy?

The over weight thing has been talked about quite a bit especially with the midsized truck guys. I think the once or twice a yr short camping trip many city slickers do its not a big deal the risk is some what low given load limits are typically pretty conservative but being over weight 100% of...

    Flooring material choices for conversion

The fake synthetic teak used on some high end racing yacts for sure was not slick when wet, teak was popular for this reason besides its durability. The negative? Teak decks in the tropics? Turn boats into ovens and burn the s-it out of your feet,******** or anything else that comes in contact with...

    Africa Twin reviews

I agree sacrilege. But I found my riding ability which is decent on the manual was even better on the auto. I could put all my skill/effort into riding and zero attention on the shifting, it took a big mind shift to get use to it. But that riding was all complex heavy traffic riding which really...
