Another second for this guy and his ideas. I have a different camper, but I mounted my storage/bench structure directly to the Tacoma bedside rails and also directly through the sides and floor of the composite bed. My interior build out is permanent. I also have my fridge bolted directly to the...
I will second this. I have comp adjusters at all 4 corners and it is as if I have two different suspensions on the truck, between full loose and full stiff.
Here is what I came up with: Tacoma, so YMMV.
Digital rear view mirror camera avoids penetrating camper at all, located it just above the license plate.

Penetrations into the camper have only occurred into/out of the composite bed thus far. When I do...
I had the same change as well when I went with my Sherpa Animas. Thankfully my DCLB gets me a 36" rack, so I have a bit more usable space up there.

That was Maze Overlook 2, much preferred to Overlook 1 also.
Dollhouse 3 had fantastic views of the Needles District (top photo) while Dollhouse 2 was nice and cozy in amongst the rocks (lower photo)

Fantastic, this is exactly what I was looking for. I agree that the Hest will do a lot better with being bent by the backrest.
I'll get on ordering a Hest here shortly. Thank you.
I just saw AluCab's video on the Gen 3-R tent, and their part about the adjustable, built-in backrest is just too good to not buy and put in my CC.
With that in mind, I feel like I need to swap from the Exped to the Hest mattress.
I know we discussed it recently, and everyone says it's...
I haven't had any silly comments, though some people do ask if it is a construction topper.
I mainly get curious folks who are ultimately surprised that it has so much in it. The top opening up for a bed (something very intuitive to me personally) always seems to surprise people.
I also...
Did you install a different orifice in your P9000? I have one and I used it in Sedona at ~5,000 ft, and I did not find it overly impressive. It took us from ~22 degrees to 55 degrees, running on low all night.
You are supposed to cut that stud down after you determine how far out you need to mount the inner piece (the one that the tire actually bolts to) based on your wheels width and rim backspacing
In that case you could definitely go with something mild, like Fergie posted above. A nice set of airbags would probably serve you just fine.
I also agree with him on the add-a-leaf or overload spring. Either go with the airbags or spend a lot on some custom rear leafs.
I have a similar camper on a 2021 TRDOR myself.
Here are a couple questions to help provide a better answer:
What kind of driving do you plan on doing?
How extensive and heavy will your interior build out be?
Understood about the updated strut location. Glad they decided to both beef them up and relocate them. It's just a bit of a shame that our current culture features the mindset that things need to be displayed before they are actually ready.
Glad that the camper itself is weatherproof, just...
