Picked up a baby GS a couple of weeks ago. Still working on getting it broken in, no "adventures" on it yet due to winter finally deciding to show up here in Utah.
testing in Moab, seems to be working pretty well. I'm currently charging my laptop and the fridge is running. It's just about full sun today and the sun is not quite directly overhead, I've got the panels closely matched to the angle of the sun. I'm getting about 55 watts (4 amps @ 13.5v)...
I just ordered the 100w version. It should be here on Friday and I'm hoping to get down to Moab for a camping trip soon. I'll post back after a few days of use. Hoping that the 100w will be enough to keep my secondary battery charged while powering my fridge and recharging my laptop.
Spoke to Tepui and the picture on the site is out of date for the zipper replacement. For $20 you just get the lower zipper that slides into the base of the tent. If you buy a new travel cover then you get both so it looks like that's my best option.
Fair price for sure but being that it's currently backordered is gonna be an issue. I'll have to give them a call later today and see if they have any idea when they'll be getting more.
actually, based on the picture here:
https://tepuitents.com/collections/spare-parts/products/travel-cover-zipper
it seems like $20 might be all it costs to replace the zipper? but how do you attach to the cover side? and unfortunately it's currently out of stock.
It seems as though the zipper on the cover of my Tepui Ayer has given up the ghost. I've got a few sections with rough teeth and the zipper no longer stays closed . Obviously ordering a replacement will work but before I spend $150 on that I'm wondering if anyone has had luck using a...
I think the vehicle was about $1500 US for us and it was about 2.5 weeks. I didn't keep tabs on fuel but it seemed like we were paying close to US prices from what I remember. Bushlore was quick to email back and they were very easy to work with, I'm sure if you send them an email they will...
I think I have someone coming over today to pick it up after work. But if that doesn't work out, all the details are here:
https://www.edgestar.com/koldfront-43-quart-12v-dc-portable-fridge-freezer-black/KF430.html
In excellent condition. It's about 9 months old. 0 problems with it, great fridge. Made by Edgestar, basically the same fridge as the popular Edgestar FP430.
Also includes the insulation jacket and upgraded tie down points made by a user on here (the included handles are pretty weak)...
If that gives you sticker shock you must go into full on epileptic fits when you look at gear for upgrading your rig. ;)
That's the towel I use. It's a towel, it does its job and dries quickly. I've had it for a few years now and taken it on lots of adventures.
I sent an email to Tim from Gamiviti asking him about this last night. He thinks that they should work just fine but he's trying to get a little more info about the awning. Not sure how likely this is but hopefully he can get his hands on one to test with. I'm using his quick release...
