Actually I think that while filtration combined with activated charcoal helps, the only way to remove chemicals, pesticides, and heavy metals is by using a reverse osmosis system...anything that is in a solution (I.e. mixed into the water...like salt for example) cannot be filtered.

MSR, Lifesaver, etc..... all of these seem excellent in filtering biologicals and sediment...but I fail to find anything that addresses heavy metals or chemicals / pesticides. Anyone care to chime in on that? Seems to be a equally dangerous problem...
Probably talking about security film...some folks call it brick proofing.
Security film is good, but it is better to replace your windows with laminated glass.....
