Another one of my all time favorites. I hear it is well organized and a well run event.
The trucks that compete in these events are aweful hardcore for the ExPo crowd. Being who I am I just have to point that out. :)
One of my all time favorites. I have heard a lot though that the event is not very well balanced. I also have found you can find many blogs, pictures and videos if you vistit the teams websites.
I bent my 3/8" belly skid in the rocks.....
I am all for keeping weight down but having it down low is not to big of a deal. Even not playing in the rocks I would trash an 1/8" plate super fast. That is just really thin.
I know a guy with a fully belly of that plastic stuff, he likes it a...
Seems like you guys are talking about axles not the actual diff center or 3rd member.
If you are worried about axles....buy a set of these and forget about it forever!

Again...great pictures. Nice to see you all in the mud. Not everybody would think that is a good way to spend a vacation! Cool bit on the boa too! :sombrero:

2) whose in, whose out? Whats the deal with cap on participants as well as qualifications to enter. Simply looking for numbers and what the guideline might be to enter.
3) team orientated? Meaning driver and co-pilot(s). Friends & family I am sure being sixes.
4) If...

The map only shows main roads but what it does...
I like the description on the web page so far!
It is kind of looking like this will shape up into a bit of a competition. I am thinking find a partner and form a "team". ;)
Can we clarify what a "rally" is?
I mean we have rally cars and rally races. Then we have a rally like the links posted. Then we even have what I kind of consider to be a rally, although they are officialy called "Trophies or Trophy Races". So if I post a link to say The Rainforest Challenge...
Jaime is currently circumnavigating Isla Coiba in Panama in his TRAK kayak! I do believe it is a first via kayak and definitely a first in a collapsible kayak!
Just FYI, a lot of those trucks we dream about and are mentioned in this thread....that we can't have in the USA. Well, they are not all exactly super fuel efficient trucks. You 4.5 & 4.8L Patrol petrol engines are gas hogs. Your twin turbo diesel in the new 70-series Cruisers, don't exactly get...
Me personally, I like the camping idea. Yet, at least once a week I would want a shower, not a camping shower but a real shower. Especially before "the big" party. :)
