I am going thru this right now as well. The main reason for using the spacer is it lets the center cap fit, if you look at the pic Mischief posted above you can see the grease cap is out to far.
Also using the spacers would allow you get the spacer nicely lug centered and tight then the rim...
Okay after some full size drawings, figuring on a 2 inch spacer to make the toy rim work, just in case and for flexibility. It looks like I can make the frame 50 wide, hub to hub 64.
The rims I have are 7 wide, with 4.75 offset. That keeps me with in the specs for the dexter torsion axle limit...
Okay first some specs. Over all trailer width will be 5'6 to 5'8", I want fenders on it so I want about 3 to 4 inches of tire/wheel past the wall. I want to use toyota rims which are 6 lug 5.5" and I think the rims have 4.5 from the inside of the rim offset. Tire size 31 10.5 r15.
I think I...
goto the diy trailer section and look on sawtooth unlimited thread, he used something much stiffer and cheaper than filon. He had to order 200 feet of it to get it shipped it cost him 2200 but if you can get to SC you dont need to buy as much.
If you want true premium click below. Dont use wood, use this glued to foam, look at the sawtooth unlimited thread for ideas how to build it. You could do normalish framing job using skeletontized plywood, fill the voids with foam and use this as a skin. If want you can get the aluminum skin in...

I recently found out about alupoly, its a aluminum skinned panel with a polyethylene core 2mm or...
Yes you should be able to. As a rule lead acid batteries charge at 10% and agm are lead acid but they can go a little higher. If the batteries are flat they may take more like 50% but that wont be for long as they take a charge. So even 2 80 amp hour batteries if they are way down will only draw...
Okay Jess I just got done binge watching all of your videos. I got all the way to 24 last night, well at 345 Am.
Couple of things, on my old tnttt posts I talked about gluing and riveting my SIPs to a frame. I like your method a lot, it is just a more of a complete "system" than what I had in...
Okay, first some back ground on me. I saw the OG sawtooth thread years ago and liked its shape, but I was in love with conquer uev 490. I designed but never built a poor mans knock off years ago in tnttt.com but have revisited it recently. my tnttt.com screen name is saltydawg.
I was not happy...
