    New Bronco

It is. Dealers know if the person that ordered it won't pay $5-10k over sticker there is a line a mile long of people ready willing and able to pay $15-20k over. Our dealer honored the handshake, I had a year and a half to fret about it going sideways though.

    New Defender 110 Electrical Doubts...

Old car fun too, which doesn't necessarily mean a design issue but the ones you are listing are 30-40yo trucks. Switches die, wires corrode/chafe etc, nothing lasts forever. The only experience I have with LR is sitting in ones in the JY though. Discos and Range Rovers. I do have a 80's...

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

My wife loves it to the point that was what she wanted on her Bronco.

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

Yeah, taco. To a lesser degree Colorado too. Not really crazy about newer 150's either. Never driven a Ranger newer than 1991 though so hard to really compare. A half hour in driving my FIL's KR F-150 I was ready for something else.

But the front seat though... big difference the other way (IMO)

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

Or less once you notice a crew cab midsize has a rear seat more on par with a super cab fullsize than a crew cab fullsize. I have been tempted by the dual tank goodness with mine. When was shopping for a better bed I was hoping I would happen across a double tanker... but I didn't. But...

    New Bronco

That is generally when ford will step in and go to bat for the customer.

    New Bronco

Only if the customer got it in writing, otherwise it is a game if he said/she said and Ford understandably won't get in the middle

DuoTherm furnace - Post 1: Jerry-rigged sail switch

Anybody else been down this road in the last 8 years? I found this thread but I can't find the listed switch anywhere.

Does a 230 mile/charge range make you more or less likely to buy a Lighning?

They have been doing it with forklifts for decades... Lightnings range is about what they said from the start so no change for me. Pass.

    Bronco Mothership

That is why we drew a line in the sand on the hardtop. I figured anything after the fact would be ridiculously priced. I did see a Land Rover inspired one that was neat a couple weeks ago online though. For a DD in the upper midwest (especially hers) I just really didn't want to deal with a...

3.73 vs 4:46 gear may make a difference in acceleration with oversize tires too... (provided both are automatics, if manual 4.46 vs 4.70) Ours seems to move pretty good, I have no regrets on the 2.3. I played with the mpg thing over the weekend, about 30 miles in rolling hills set to 60...

    Bronco Mothership

Power is great, really have no use for more. Fuel economy is about as advertised. It was running a hair over 18mpg on the counter before we drove it out to Lincoln over the weekend. A little city driving plus running 80mph on I80 beat it down to 17.1 AFAIK the mpg counter deal has never been...

I have no idea how you don't know any of these things. Vehicle model is in the thread title. Engine displacement is the third line of the vehicle specs on the first post of the thread. Button to kill the start stop funny business is mentioned throughout the thread. Anyway, I got the receiver...

On the one hand I daily drive a freaking 2002 so I am never really going to get used to it. I won't drive it much. If she gets used to I just have to remember to hit the button when I drive it. It makes it think you are towing and will mess with the service intervals.

It sure sounds like the starter on ours. It is fairly disconcerting to be waiting to jump off our gravel road and onto the highway in a vehicle that isn't running.
