Not of the tank set-up. I'll try to shoot some if interested. This tank weighs a lot when full, so I normally don't fill it until I am near the jump off point. The weight is to the rear of the axle, so it tends to help offset the weight of the tongue box, dual batteries, tools and cargo that is...

My trailer has a 38 gallon, 3/8" welded poly tank between the frame rails to the rear of the axles. It is completely covered n the bottom with an 1/8" powder coated steel skid plate that extends from the front center rail to the rear (tailgate) rail. It has a rear stainless fill pipe, rear...

need a longer ladder overland rtt

Sounds like you got a good deal on your OverLand. We have sold quite a few (1000+?) AutoHome tents, and some show up from time to time on the second hand market. They last a long time, so a used tent at a decent price usually represents a good value. The OverLand ladder has a center (gross)...

    Aux light setup.

No heat issues. One reason is that I have the nonwinch ARB and it gets a lot of airflow from under the front of the bumper. The driving lights are a fairly wide beam (they have a small 'running light bulb also), and angled to light the front and side of the road just ahead of the vehicle. The...

Problem with a 93 80-series, thanks in advance.

this is likely an electrics issue, not a part failure. If you have a Field Service Manual for your Dad's truck, you will have a better life. Trust me. So get the manual and a multimetter, and a test light. Take it one step at a time. Mike S

need a longer ladder overland rtt

If you have extended the bottom (foot) section of the ladder out al the way and it is still too short, we have an extended foot option that should solve the problem. Give me a call if you need one. Mike S 888-852-2359

    Aux light setup.

I hate lights on the roof - they look so bubba, and the reflections off the hood and your ARB won't be easier on the eyes. ANd the 4000s are big - lots of wind resistance. I have two 4000 driving lights and a center pencil beam. Tis really lights up the night - more is probably overkill.

Write Up: Dual Battey Setup for 1985 FJ60

Not many options n routing the cable. I did end up covering mine with split loom and tying it to the Front support. It will not get too hot there at all. Those are Noel's stainless battery trays. Superior product! Mike

LED is better from current draw and heat standpoint -- but my old eyes and the tiny print on my maps requires dazzling amounts of light. I figure it might be lit for 30 minutes to an hour max on a daily basis. Not enough to worry about draining the battery(s). I have Geoorge's LEDs as dome...

Eezi-Awn or other RTT user tips

I recommend the bedding suggestions made by Mario. I also opt for a thin feather bed over the mattress in cold weather. I prefer tents to be stored: 1. In a lift against the garage ceiling 2. Indoors on sawhorses, folded and with the travel attached 3. Indoors leaning up against the wall...

Roberto: I am done with Optimas. I have had TWO group 31 Yellow tops fail in the past year. I returned them to the distrbutor. He is also a distributor of DEKA, and recommends the DEKA AGM over the Optima. They are also cheaper by about $50. I am running a large (31) Interstate now, but will...
