Hey, this thread just broke the one year mark. I barely broke 8k miles in that year. Kind of depressing actually. I really need to get out more.
I was bored yesterday, so I made a projector retrofit with a spare headlight. Tried experimenting with a different color scheme, mostly it's all I had...
Kick panel courtesy lights installed a few weeks back, 1-1/2" grommet mount led.
Picked up a bunch of these A-series clones. Side by side with the real one I couldn't see a difference. Figured a hood light was in order.
Mounted here away from heat is nice and bright over the battery area and...
I was kind of pissed when I got my '06 when I realized it had 17s on it. I really wanted to swap my brand new 16" tires from my '02 onto it. Also have a set of hid projectors headlights lying about that could be repair from that 02.
Not a whole lot of new stuff happening here. I took a tumble down the stairs and messed up my bad knee pretty good. Starting to think it's high time I move somewhere with fewer steps.. Trying to cleanup some wiring connections when I can, but the colder weather is bringing the pain.
I built a similar dual battery system for my Tundra using the Blue Sea SI-ACR 7610. While rated for 120 amps, you can find it for nearly a third the cost of the ML-ACR. It's a simplified approach that might be another option for a slightly lower cost.
Yeah, I get that about fog lights. I installed them last year to replace the filler panels but just wired them up yesterday.
No hid, one new oem light and an oem light with an aftermarket lens swap. No issue with the low beams. I tried different bulbs too.
Two things. Fog lights and high beams. They just seem useless on my truck.
Fogs were an aftermarket kit, and I can hardly tell the difference when I turn them on. Thinking of swapping on some LED pods.
High beams are frightening. I can't see a thing with them on. Kind of recall having this...
Thanks. It's getting there.. I still haven't finished the sides or the top yet. Once the weather is nicer I plan to take it down for a thorough cleanup, wet sanding and finishing. Probably going to repaint the interior as well.
Super 90 didn't work out for me. Found out it also dissolves foam, so you have to be careful with the materials you use.
Bubble wrap has proven completely useless for me in the heat. There's a specific way to use that stuff and most of us won't use it that way. I'd stick with foam panels. Look...
I have this set of 1.5" spacers that have been collecting dust in the garage for years. They were on my Tundra when I bought it. No idea of brand, but I'd probably give them away for cheap?
All messages replied to, winch currently still available. Shipping is looking like it won't be worth it so I'll keep it as a local sale a little longer.
Winch sold as of 2/9. Thanks.
The actual pump used is a Whale GP1002. I could never find a US source, but here's an eBay listing that's had a great price.

I was thinking of this one on Amazon as an alternative, but no idea how it compares.

SOLD: Muth Signal Mirror 00-06 Tundra AC $35 Denver
This is sold. Thank you!
Got this on ebay a while back. It was suppose to be a pair but I received a left hand signal mirror and right hand oem mirror. This was before I realized I had heated mirrors, so I couldn't really use it anyway.
So...
There's so few decent looking bumpers for these trucks out there that aren't one off or unobtanium. I don't like that one either, I just like that at least it's another offering I guess.
I'm leaning away from any heavy off road with mine and would want a useful rear bumper first. Relentless fab...
