Drone Laws world map and travelling with drones

Taking a drone into any autocratic regime lead country is mental IMHO regardless of what laws their may or may not be.

What happens when the biggest and baddest vehicle breaks down

Having worked for 3 months in Brazil that is a total nightmare. Getting anything into that country in a timely and economical manner is impossible. You can't even buy retail level merchandise without a CPF (tax ID) number as a normal consumer. If they can't root cause and fix with at hand...

Urgent help needed. 2013 GMC 2500HD, broken down in Brazil

What happens when the biggest and baddest vehicle breaks down

Most people are not more offroad than a tow truck most of the time because, frankly, large vehicles usually are not that capable and the ones that are do not fit or are too heavy for the terrain to support them most of the rest of the time. Most heavy vehicles tend to get stuck on relatively...

    Temp Monitoring for Brakes/Bearings

Not sure a sensor would help much if it is the brakes. If the trailer brakes were smoking but the vehicle brakes were not and did not feel bad you probably have the trailer brakes set too high or on too aggressive a weight profile. Most people have their trailer brakes cranked up way too high I...

What happens when the biggest and baddest vehicle breaks down

You fix it or you get agricultural/construction equipment to drag you out or take you somewhere where it can be fixed or towed. There is nothing to think about really, except preventative maintenance and not taking crazy risks of getting stuck. If the truck got out there then something of equal...

The whinging over the Bronco Sport thinking it is the Bronco is pretty amusing. An excellent litmus test I think.

Opinions on Block Heater replacement.. 400watt vs 1000 watt

Dunno...But I would insulate and heat the lines, filter/separator and rig it to a manual switch as an electrical off grid pre-heat source before I would try to heat the entire block and coolant with off grid electrical energy.

Thoughts on the Truckhouse Tacoma expedition camper...

Carbon fiber is swell but 300K for anything based on a Taco is cuckoo for cocoa puffs. Having a double cab gobble up all that payload makes no sense either, especially with a rear pass through. For a bazillion dollars it should be chopped to a reg cab.

Opinions on Block Heater replacement.. 400watt vs 1000 watt

I would look into an inline electric fuel heater. If you have good batteries cranking in the cold isn't that big a deal. Having warm flowing fuel that easily atomizes is more important IMHO.

    Truck Bed Camper vs Van/Motorhome

Watch a bobtail tractor drive around a dirt drop lot with holes or pull in and out of a driveway or drive over a curb and with the absolute barest of minimum of weight it is possible to have on the vehicle you can watch the frame flex with ease and regularity. So...no.

    Dedicated GPS/Cellular antenna setup

The wifi only tablet is the problem. It's pointless. The problem isn't how to hard wire your tablet it is why do you have an unfit for purpose item and why do you resist just buying the correct easy to use item in the first place? No one would buy a Garmin to use as a GPS if the unit could not...

Gaia improvements. Dark mode. Map downloads

I read somewhere dark mode has finally come to Android devices so I had to check it out. I turned it on and it's pretty sexy. I hate being blinded by white backgrounds and blank white data fields. It looks really good now and is so much easier on the eyes. The Gaia topo layer is optimized for...

    Dedicated GPS/Cellular antenna setup

LOL, I literally just discovered the sub menu that displays the signal strength in Gaia so I went searching for the crappiest signal I could find where I was at the time. Even I was surprised how good it was. Compared to 90's and early 00s devices everything works pretty amazing now. It's a...

    Dedicated GPS/Cellular antenna setup

Why do people resist until they are blue in the face people telling them they don't need a cell contract for GPS? I literally don't understand it. ? This is the signal from my Samsung Tab A in the cement basement of a 2 story building standing under the metal hvac duct. This is the signal...

problems with Rhino batwing awning and extension zippers

Oye, the price of just some fabric with a zipper. Ludicrous. I too don't think I will be buying another. 5 years ago I think it was worth it and I bought mine on sale for 500 which is a deal. But now there are so many sturdier options for not too much more than the list price of the current...
