Another point to consider is a Disco or Defender feel a bit sportier and more powerful with the manual. Rover motors are not known for their power, and the extra cog of the 5 speed gets a bit more out of the motor, and as stated above, the auto scavenges a bit of power/torque. And the manual is...

It is a pretty sweet Blazer on it's own accord. Is there a decent market for the Chalet, as it seems pretty complete and decent condition. And is there a market for it on the east coast? It is from Az, then Wy where it resides currently. Obviously I want the Blazer, but the Chalet not so...

Check the specs on the '07 PW, near identical to the JKU Brute. The quad cab made it near perfect, while the bigger megacab stretches it just a bit too much for my liking- Bill, chime in ;-)

Build up is near identical, but less systems to eliminate on the Disco. For example, near all the newer Classics had air suspension. The parts to lift the two are the same, but you will have nonfunctioning switches in the cabin of the RRC. Also, it can be harder to locate body items like bumpers...
