    Useful hitch covers

Been using this one for a couple years. It'll never hold tight if you don't use the matching hitch (shown in photo) rather than the stupid plastic adapter ring. I love that it doesn't prevent use of the hitch while installed. The paint/coating may fade, chip over time. Don't forget to take it...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I need to work out a simple boot to go between the topper and cab to keep snow out. It melts and turns to ice that rattles around for days driving me nutty. I just got hearing aids as an early present from the VA and it's especially bothersome. OH, and heated washer fluid is the bees freaking...

    Snow Peak Addiction

For future reference it looks like the compatible Ikea part is called the "Besta Black Base Leveler #115988". The other part number out there is for gray. They seem to be available for order below in a five pack for $3. Shipping was another $4 on my end for two packages...

I believe I was told they were discontinued last I tried to order them. I think it was from Expedition Exchange. I'm pretty sure though that some standard table leg threads will fit if you can find ones you like.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I'm losing count of how many holes I've put in this topper... But, some added ventilation.. Something I can leave open more often and not worry about. Also great for mobile air flow. Got another one that I might add in the opposite corner. I had a flush mounted LED previously here. Pardon...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

The headlights in my 2006 actually seem to work fairly well, but the lenses were still stained and filled with micro cracks from uv or stress after a polish. My experience with aftermarket headlights is that they generally suck for oem applications. The reflectors somehow just don't ever seem to...

Any reason to NOT mount a Viair portable as a mounted OBA?

My bad, yeah you're fine as long as you have the pressure switch on the tank. Looks like it'll work fine if you remove the sand tray, hard mount it, plumb it to the tank and just leave the compressor switched on.

Any reason to NOT mount a Viair portable as a mounted OBA?

Is it the automatic model? If it's not, that's the only thing I could really see making it a challenge.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I haven't used it in this topper yet, but it's a lot taller than my old one and I never had a problem as long as I kept it close to the floor. Can't imagine the big buddy being much of an issue unless you are running it on the highest setting and mine roasts me out in minutes. For the propane...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Anyone know a good way to run a propane connection into the truck? I got a 5lb tank to run my buddy heater, but I'm trying to find a good way to get that propane hose into the topper. A quick fitting installed on the outside would be great, but I don't know what to look for.

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

Ha, well I'd love it for sure and will continue kicking myself eternally for not jumping on it. If it doesn't sell quickly I'll have to think a lot more seriously about it.

    Homemade faucet/sink setups?

That's a great looking setup. I was considering something like that built into a trailer tongue box, but I was concerned about having the pump placed in with the electronics. I had them in two different small boxes previously and there was some condensation when using the pump for hot water.

It's hard to get a good photo example of the warm white, but it has a nice glow. I like them best to fill the void between vehicle and fire pit or over the cooking area.

    battery recommendation

I've started with the Diehard Platinum 35 as my main battery for 3-4 years ago and it worked fine (still does today). I had a new Optima D34/78 in an old jeep that I sold so I put that in as an auxiliary. Three years later, that's still running my fridge with a 100w panel keeping it charged...

    Campsite Lighting

Not by the light itself. My battery pack has two inputs and that's been plenty for me, but I ordered a USB hub to see if I could run multiple lights together.
