    Shower tents and privys

I don't really like the shower shelters and figure I'd rather just multi-purpose something I already use. I figure I'll just use my awning. I can slap a portapotty in there which would work great and not look like an outhouse. I don't think using it for a shower would be overly tricky either.

Awning and side walls, compatibility amongst brands?

Awning walls on my 6.5' ARB awning. These are from Compact Camping Concepts. Looks to be a good fit. There are three walls and no floor which is what I wanted for ventilation and simplicity. It would be nice if there were a couple more loops along the bottom edges of each side for stakes, but...

question re:Removing rear cab window in B4000 for better access to camper

I've been contemplating this option for a while myself but haven't really seen anyone do it. One option might be using this accordion seal. If I'm reading it right, you could actually remove one or both windows and put this in place. CRL Slider to Shell Accordion Boot Seal by CR Laurence

    Warn Industries Supports Expedition Portal

I'm trying to settle on a winch for my 02 Tundra. I already set it up with the Warn Trans4mer. I hardly do much beyond forest roads but I'm alone on just about all my trips and like to explore unknown places. I was aiming for the m8000, but it seems loaded up that might be a little under...

The War Wagon: A 2005 Toyota Tundra AC's transformation to Overlanding Rig

I'm currently averaging 14 hwy, 12.5 city with my Tundra.. I run 265's, maybe 2" lift and probably added roughly 300lbs in gear and a topper. I gave up on trying to fix mileage beyond proper maintenance and being realistic on upgrades.

A carry bag some loops or holes for hooks would be awesome combined with that strap setup.

    Snow Peak Addiction

Oh yeah, I do love those straps but at the moment I still have a pretty basic setup and I'm not sure yet which pieces I will be adding. It might be best for me to wait. The 8 gallon action packer works awesome for the inserts and stove. I see how you stored the setup in your Jeep and that's what...

What is everyone doing to store, secure or protect the IGT units? I have the 3 unit IGT and I'm looking for ideas for how to secure this thing in my vehicle. A 3-unit canvas bag would be nice, but I can't find one.

    Snow Peak Addiction

A lot of it really is that it's like finding an easter egg when I see a product that's not made in China. The rest of my reasoning just leads to off topic territory.

    Snow Peak Addiction

Picked up the mini Hozuki light at REI yesterday. It's a nice little light that puts out a warm glow rather than the typical white/blue from most. Pretty much the sole reason I wanted it. My only disappointment is the "Made in China" part on the box. I know the larger version is made in Japan.

    Snow Peak Addiction

The spork never caught on with me, but I haven't tried the Snow Peak version. I guess I always found it easier to simply keep a spoon, knife and a fork. The cutlery set looks pretty nice, but I'm not into the weight saving thing enough to ever justify the titanium premium. The wood handled party...

Stainless steel folding / briefcase charcoal grill on Woot - $19.99

Seen a lot of mixed reviews on these and I think there are better options for not much more. http://amzn.com/B00DNTXCMI Or an Esbit portable BBQ. I use this one myself and love it. But, they usually run about 65 bucks.

If given 40k cash tomorrow, what rig would you build or buy & where would u go?

I would probably wipe the dust off this old project and make a resto mod out of it with a decent modern drivetrain and then add a nice slide in camper.

    Snow Peak Addiction

It's probably a good thing that a lot of the items I wanted were not available. Snow Peak was offering free shipping over 75 and Equipt1 had 10% off so between the two I was able to assemble a nice starting point. The wind screen is only found by searching and shows up without an image. I was...

Mr. Buddy Heater with Oxygen Sensor - NOT FOR USE over altitudes of 7,000 feet???

Reviving an older thread, but feel it's a useful addition as the altitude question was a concern in purchasing this heater. I used my portable buddy heater for the last three days and nights in Rocky Mountain National Park at around 8k feet. It worked flawlessly and kept me plenty warm in my...

    Snow Peak Addiction

Broke in my Snow Peak gear over the weekend. The addiction spreads quickly as I initially intended only to purchase the Baja burner. I ordered the wind screen last minute and it turned out to be a necessity. Until I order the BBQ box, the Esbit folding BBQ actually works fairly well here. I...
