Snorkel Installation Question

I'm guessing this has got to be close to some zombie thread resurrection record. Seven years and change.

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

What's this noise? [/IMG] Finally getting around to doing the Hypermax install and I have to say, so far it wins 1st Place for being the single biggest pain in the ******** outright futher mucker of a project. Ford could not have made working on a van any freakin more difficult if they had...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

No worries Pat, thanks anyway. I think I have a plan to get through it anyhow. If it doesn't work, worst case is I buy some Deutsch connectors and replug the ends of the harnesses. I'd rather spend $100 on plugs and tools than craigslist some used harness that's liable to be just as much...

    Lucinda Build

Generally speaking driveshafts like that should have the yokes at each end at the same angle. Whatever the angle of the output on the transfer case, the angle of the pinion on the pumpkin should be the same. It appears the pinion on your axle is pointed directly at the output of the transfer...

Diesel 04 E-350 Cube Van Camper

My 7.3 is just the opposite. Thing stays bone ******** cold if I'm not moving, and in the winter struggles for some heat even if I am moving.

Diesel 04 E-350 Cube Van Camper

I feel you on the 6.0. I've had 3'and still own the 3rd. All have cost money, though this last one was done pre-emptively and hasn't hit me with any surprises yet. It's my understanding that in the van apps they were detuned a bit because of heat. As in it generates too much and the vans...

    Unimog 404 w/Camper on Ebay

That's a pretty fine example of an old 404 but man, that thing must be slower than a 3-legged turtle. I'm guessing the box is no lightweight.

On eBay: One-of-a-Kind Expedition 4x4 Camper built on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500

The service body looked kind of interesting but you can keep the rest. Lift blocks are the cheap easy way to go about a lift and when you see them as tall as what's in the back of that truck, it makes me wonder what else is done the cheap and easy way.

    1992 E350 7.3 glow plug harness help

Those links are awesome. Still not quite sure which of those would do the trick. The one in your link says up to 1991 and mines a 1992. There's another one for the F-series that covers my model year, but I cant see the plug detail, and it's like $100 more or something. Yes, my yellows are...

    1992 E350 7.3 glow plug harness help

Around here finding a 7.3 idi of any kind in a junkyard is only slightly harder than finding the holy grail, let alone one from a van. Tell me where I could find a new replacement and I'd consider it. Old *** wiring harnesses are one of the biggest pains when dealing with an older vehicle.

    1992 E350 7.3 glow plug harness help

Ok, some clarity here. I know guys have been trying to help, and I sincerely appreciate that, but everyone has been trying to help me fix the glow plug connectors, when what I need is the main harness connector fixed. This harness..... [/IMG] and this connector.... [/IMG]...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Want another one? I intend to move (I want west, the wife wants Florida) and I have way too much stuff to move. Projects are going to go. That J-truck you saw has the Cummins mounted along with a TH475 transmission and a xfer case. Needs the crossmember for that (have it) welded in. It's on...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Not sure what I'll end up doing, but probably not black. I'm working (slowwwwly) towards a move west and not sure I'd want the heat soak I'd get from that. Desert sand maybe? Orange like my old '79 F-series? Dunno. Btw, do you think the guy that ended up with your front end might still...

How to insure a custom truck/camper

Depends on your insurance company but in some cases at least they don't care what your or your states definition of an RV is. They won't even care what it's registered as. They run the vin and whatever that began life as is what it is, as far as they're concerned. If you have it "converted"...

    Watches - ExPo Style

I'm not a watch collector, or enthusiast of any real sort. To me it's just a tool, nothing more or less, and I can never envision spending $1k for a watch. With that out of the way I AM looking for one and I figure here might be as good a place as any. What I want: Simple: I need it to...

    Edgestar Fridge Modifications Thread

Make model might help. I just had mine apart and though it looks similar, I can tell there are differences. My power supply hookup doesn't look to be the same, and unfortunately I can't remember the yellow wire in question. By the looks of it I'd hazard that it might hook to the back of your...

Unfortunately not. As mentioned the power stroke and idi systems aren't compatible.

    1992 E350 7.3 glow plug harness help

I decided to get started on my Hypermax turbo install today and naturally the first thing I try to do turns into crap. The glow plug harness needs to be removed and then reconfigured for the install. The main plug that connects the harness to the vans main wire bundle was locked up tight...

    Edgestar Fridge Modifications Thread

Don't you hate it when someone posts looking for help on a problem and then disappears? Pulled the access panel off my fridge today and got lucky. Every single screw on the terminal strip feeding the power supply was loose. DC side was really loose, and that's why it didn't work. I'm...
