Lets see some full size pictures...

Man, with a starting price close enough to $8k to not matter, I'd have to REALLY be desperate for one of those. It's twice the price I paid for my van.

Best way to adapt truck for carrying heavy loads?

Web wheeler. That's funny. MY point being it doesn't matter what you think, and I say that without meaning it to be rude, but it truly doesn't matter. Who are you, or I or anyone else, to tell this man that he is hauling too much stuff? It's what he wants to take and that's the end of it...

    Winches!

This is wrong for the right reasons, but wrong nonetheless. It's not holding down the button that kills the winch, it's heat that kills the winch, which is what you're spending for more line speed. Heat for speed. She might be rolling slower but odds are its doing it for way less heat...

    2004 E-150 Conversion to 4WD

I would hesitate to sink the money required of a Ujor kit into an E150, for reasons you've already mentioned. Everybody is looking for 3/4 and 1-tons. The resale of your E-150 might not recoup your investment when you inevitably look to sell. If it were me and I was dead set on keeping the...

Best way to adapt truck for carrying heavy loads?

My comment wasn't to you, it was to the fella voicing his opinion that you carry too much stuff, and meant to show his opinion doesn't really matter.

Best way to adapt truck for carrying heavy loads?

I've used them on my last 3 trucks, hauling not much to 5k in the bed, and put plenty of miles on. The only trouble I've ever had was a blow off valve that got weak and had to be replaced. Maybe 10 bucks. Carry some spare line and a spare bag if you really worry about it, but I did neither...

Best way to adapt truck for carrying heavy loads?

What do you take when you go? Whatever it is, in my opinion it's too dang much, get the picture?

Guess (Chris) what arrived at my shop I don't know how long ago since someone felt the need to unload a truck, stick its contents in a corner someplace, and neglect to tell the boss man.

Best way to adapt truck for carrying heavy loads?

I'm going to buck the trend, because I dislike an ******** high truck. I like a level truck, always. Unless your rear springs are shagged out, I say leave them. It sounds like your payload is going to be well within specs for your truck, so no rear springs needed unless as mentioned, they're on...

    3/4 Ton... Dodge or Ford?

That last sentence. There's a difference in Bill and what Bill says, and what his shop actually does. His shop Forman will tell you flat out..."Bill makes videos, and I fix trucks". Their maintenance opinions don't always coincide, but as he said, he fixes the trucks. I've used Bills shop...

    3/4 Ton... Dodge or Ford?

Cummins has their share of problems. They aren't trouble free, at least these days. A lineman from my local power company had to come out to my shop to repair one of the feed lines from a transformer on the pole. (Sixteen hundred amps of 440/3-phase into my shop and I managed to burn off a...

    Military surplus 37X12.50r16.5 tires

I've bought 10 total from trail ready. The first batch were supposed to be 85-90%, can't remember exactly, and they were spot on. I ordered the 2nd batch the same way (paying extra) and I'd be surprised if they measured out at 70%. A little disappointed the 2nd time around, and the 2nd...

The Lunchbox Build... 4x4 chevy shorty van

Is it just me or does that not look like the Village People on their way to a KOA or something?

Super cheapo van build, it's my fourth E350...

I'm not surprised you lost mileage. I know for a fact I can pull down better mileage manually than I can with a cruise control, as long as I'm paying attention and TRYING to do it. I only use it when I'm being lazy.

The Lunchbox Build... 4x4 chevy shorty van

I vote for the camo, even though it was on my short list. White is blah and that black thing has been done. To. Death. You could always do it with plasti-dip. On that big a project it isn't exactly dirt cheap but if you get tired of it or just don't like it it's a whole lot easier to change...

Blehhhh. To me white is what you paint it to keep it from rusting until you figure out a good color to paint it. :)

    FOUND Vans For Sale!

It's funny how some people will take a problem and try to spin it into "no big deal", or believe that since every other vehicle driving down the road isn't like theirs that theirs must be " rare and/or unique".
