Haven't touched my thread in a while, so I thought I'd update with some photos of my more recent trips.
In early October the wife and I took the Xterra on the ferry out to San Juan Island ********** dab in the middle of the strait between Washington and British Columbia. We sailed into Friday...
Good to know. I'm probably going to stick with the OME for a while, as they're only a year old and I still get decent travel with the spacers and SPC UCAs. Who knows, I might just say screw it and Titan swap for my next suspension upgrade down the line.
Have you decided on what bumper you're...
Looks good, Steve. Are they noticeably brighter while backing up? Also, how are the Nisstec coilovers treating you? Any issues so far? I'm thinking about swapping out my OME coils for something with more travel up front, and was considering these because the price is right.
I've been rained on in Upstate New York, Vermont, the Southern Arizona Mountains, and now western Washington in my Tepui Kukenam Sky. Never gotten a drop of rain inside the tent. The Sky feature was especially nice during my brief tenure in AZ. Just my $0.02.

Reading this was a great start to my Tuesday. Great pictures, Tom.
I recognize a few of those trucks from over on thenewx.org. Stay away from those xterra guys..... They're a rowdy, unpredictable bunch.
Ah, okay. Only other option would be to work at extending your suspension travel in the front. New Coilovers/UCAs. Help keep the tires from breaking traction as much. I'm just throwing out ideas now, hah.
I would just throw a Lokka locker in the 180 and call it a day. It would be (relatively) cheap and would mitigate any potential future issues with the carrier or pinion. I've read nothing but good reviews from the guys on thenewx. You won't have the selectable feature like you would with the...
What are you doing when you suffer these breakages, if you don't mind me asking? I assume off road driving, but specifics? Two in six months is ridiculous.
Did the Fortune Creek run with The Northwest Xterra Club this weekend. It was a fun trail, terminating in a mountain lake. Here's a few photos, some of which I stole from Trixter404 (hope you don't mind, Steve).
