    Track Bar Bracket

That's what I thought when I did mine. I just wanted a little extra under belly clearance without the drama and expense, so I chose a 2" lift. I've read up on track bar brackets, I just don't know how much of it applies to my small lift. As far as recentering the axle, I'm not at all concerned...

    Track Bar Bracket

I'm looking for advice from someone who has a similar setup as mine. My JKU has OME 2" suspension in it. It actually came out to 2" total lift over a stock JKU with my bumpers, winch, etc.. So far the lift has been great and I've put about 20,000 miles on it with no complaints. The lift...

    Easter Jeep Safari Concepts 2015

I would trade in my JKUR for the Africa in a heartbeat! I think Jeeps should have removable tops, but a sub model with a fixed raised roof and more cargo capacity in the rear would be one tough utility wagon! Add in the diesel power plant and aux fuel tank and its a definite winner for me! I...

"Bruce" the 2014 Jeep JKUR Build Thread

I haven't seen the MAX 3 roof rack. Who builds it?

Is there any expedition willys out there?

You're absolutely right! it's been a few years since I've been around any early CJ's. Some of the 3b's do have low mount wipers. I think a 3b would be an excellent build candidate as well. Thanks for the correction.

Is there any expedition willys out there?

In the flat fenders it would be the CJ3a. The 3a has more leg room because you can move the seat back further, the windshield is a tad taller for more head room and the wipers are mounted on the bottom of the windshield which is a big improvement in snow country. From mid 1950 on the 3a had a...

Is there any expedition willys out there?

I know a lot of people woud give their eye teeth for a clean original MB. IMO, i would buy it and resell it once its running, or restore it and enjoy it. If it was incomplete I'd say build it, but there are fewer and fewer stock flat fenders left. I'd love to have a stock MB. It's like the...

Wrangler Tire Size - Overland, Trail, and Other

I really think you should try the 34x10.50 ko2's, keep track of mileage and then report back to me. I need some real world numbers on mileage with a 2" lift and your setup so I can make a educated decision on which tires to buy next.

CONFESSIONS FROM A GUY BEHIND A DESK

I'm sitting at work right now dreaming about puting tags on my CJ7. The weather is starting to break and I need a little change from my JK! I do most of my surfing at work. I have long periods of waiting for work to be spotted or arrive so I pas the time here.

Rear Bumpers - Looking at 2 options ARB and AEV

I've had the AEV bumper and tire carrier on my Jeep for a year and a half now and I would buy it again. It was a ton of change, but the bumper and carrier are actually quite lite weight when dry and it packs a ton of features. I liked the idea of carrying my water as low as possible and the AEV...

    Roam About with "Big Hank"

Wallowa County rivals any place in the world for scenery. I was born there and I sure wish I could live there now. California discovered it and the land values have been on the climb ever since. Native families have been mostly pushed out now due to the property values and the spotted owl farce...

    Next gen Wrangler

That would be like an H2 then, wouldn't it? Aren't they dinosaurs now? They look adventurous to the point of being gawdy, but lack any bite to go with the bark.

What Do You Dislike About Your JK

I don't know about new demographics. People in the cities have been buying Jeeps for years, mostly for the adventurous image and then never actually using the Jeep for anything more than a commuter car. The cities are typically the best place to shop for a used CJ or Wrangler and I've bought...

What Do You Dislike About Your JK

You can also go into the menu and adjust the dimmer to autp mode and it will change for you when the lights come on. There's a manual adjustment there as well. Took me a whole three days sitting in the driveway to figure out my nav, guess I'm a little old school.

What Do You Dislike About Your JK

I have a few thoughts after owning my JK for a while. Jeep no longer sends me surveys, which they did quite regularly for the first six months, but I feel I could better respond now. So, I thought I would ask other forum JK owners what they would change in the next model of Jeep utility. I'm not...

More proof that Jeep is the leader in 4x4 overland vehicles

I made up a comparison chart in 2013 between the big three remaining utilities from Toyota, Jeep and Land Rover. You may have seen it posted before, but I'll post it again. I also have a comparison of the diesel versions of all three. I tried to closely match the three cars, but of course it's...
