Good point. I was in the car...so there is 250. And I never have anyone else in this rig. When the wife goes camping she follows in her own car (because I won't let her ride in the Jeep with me when I'm towing her camper). It sounds like 660 pounds heavy. That isn't as bad as I though. There...

And another little thing. I'm afraid that when I close the RTT the scissor arm might crush the Propex thermostat. I rigged up some shock cord to pull it out of the way. k. Worked like a charm. I think. If the thermostat is crushed when I get to camp tonight I guess I'll just freeze to death.

I'm leaving for the first camping trip of year today, so I washed all the bedding in the tent. Took the opportunity to make some changes to the mattress that I'd been planning for a while. I sleep on my stomach and have to lay in the Baroud diagonally to fit comfortably. Since my toes usually...

Loaded to go today, Total vehicle weight is 5460. Is that bad? Curb weight is listed on Google as 3976. So, 1500 lbs. of crap? That seems like a lot. This wasn't a certified scale or anything...just the free one at the concrete place. I can sure tell she is heavy but I don't drive faster than...

Who has a Trailgater for JK? I need a measurement please!!!!!

@TheDriver Awesome dude! Thank you very much for taking the time to provide the measurements. You are right...I don't think it's going to work. But, I'll mull it over for a week or two and see if I can figure out a way to fudge it. I've seen JKs that have a gas shock on the bottom, so it must...

JK Tailgate Tables - The lowdown

Awesome. Thanks. I took some pics to compare. This is the measurement I'm concerned about: It's about 1 1/8 inches. But here is the kicker: When I close the gate the shock moves farther away from the gate in the rear. So, I need to know where, exactly, the Trailgrater starts on the left...

JK Tailgate Tables - The lowdown

I don't think so. The rear plate of the Trailgrater will sit below my shock mount (pretty sure it will anyway). I'm afraid that when you close the Trailgrater table, it will hit the shock mount because the table is taller than the rear mount.

JK Tailgate Tables - The lowdown

Nope, the shock doesn't lock, and I've accidentally closed the rear gate with the window open a time or two. The Tereflex will hit the gas shock attached to the glass and dent it a little. Scares the heck out of you, but after the second time you start to close the gate slowly. ;)

Who has a Trailgater for JK? I need a measurement please!!!!!

Howdy! I'm thinking about picking up a Trailgrater for my '07 JK...but I have a gas shock installed. It looks like mounting plate for a Trailgater will just miss the shock mount, but the table portion is higher than the mounting plate and will be in front of my gas shock when it's closed. Can...

JK Tailgate Tables - The lowdown

Let's revive this thread. I installed a gas shock on my JK rear door and am now trying to find a table that will not interfere with it. Anyone have any ideas? All the pics I find on the web look like they are about 1 inch taller than my gas shock. Doh! I can't live without the shock. Keeps me...

Got my backpack hung today (to replace my drawer system). This should allow me to quickly and easily access little things at camp. I decided to keep it simple and drilled a hole in my Alu Cab awning case to hang the backpack: Here is the backpack all loaded for camp (first aid, clothing, fire...

Slept in the tent last night. I kept an eye on the carbon monoxide detector and it never rose above 0 ppm. So, in my opinion, there is officially no reason to extend the combustion exhaust more than 12 inches from a window or opening (per Propex specs). I always keep the detector in there when...

Since I don't want to monkey around with propane fittings again anytime soon, I finished up the chuckbox quick-release today too. Turns out that an old Front Runner "high" tent bracket that I had was the ticket. First I had to buy a sweep 90 to turn the 5 foot high-pressure propane line from...

Well, today was the day. I now have heat and trailer park A/C in my tent. This heater project was about $250 in parts and took me lots and lots of hours to get done. The best part is that I still need to dismantle it all at some point for powder coating. ? First I cut some screen door patches...

    Seriously??

I agree that the snowsquatch gear is seriously overpriced...but I'm eyeballing the 1 gallon vacuum jug very hard. I can't find a competitor product in 304 stainless that doesn't have a leaky lid (per user reviews). I think that the mounting bracket is the deal-maker. Can screw it down in the rig...
