That sounds good in theory...but we all know that there are many more flake customers on the Internet than there are crooked businesses. Businesses need to have some sort of recourse from their perspective as well.
A deposit is acceptable to hold a place in line, but it should be a small, token...
When I get 5 new tires someday I plan to match all 5 and rotate all 5 (every 3K at oil changes)...but for now, I thought a cheapo would be best for the spare.
Found a new spot this weekend. It was a very good trip.
The falls on the way up. Lotsa water this year (after all that heavy snow):
There was still a little snow at the top of the pass:
Found a cool spot at the end of a road. Road was too rough to expect much company.
Minimal setup...
As for Propex news...something is indeed wrong with my install. Last weekend I awoke three times to a blinking error code of four....I thought. But the paperwork on the Interwebs says that code 4 means "gas solenoid valve". That can't be it, because resetting the thermostat makes it work again...
Well, out of the blue...one of the darned bead locks decided to start leaking. I haven't been doing anything but regular driving. So, as usual (for a bead lock owner), I can either spend a half day dismantling it and putting it back together to fix the leak (at least once) or get something else...
I don't have a matching spare on my 2-door JK. It's the same size, but doesn't match. The issue is that my main tires are north of $300.00 a pop, and I just can't make myself buy another one for a spare. I don't include my spare into rotation, and every matching spare tire I've ever bought winds...
I have a Max Coupler (like Lock-n-Roll) and it has worked so far. Just pull out the articulated part and put a locking pin in the trailer tongue.
Always thought the trifecta would be a non-standard hookup (like above), a car alarm with a siren and motion detector that will lock up the trailer...
I like the look of the interior. I have an empty van that is going to be totally redone over the next few years and I had pre-finished baltic birch cabinetry in mind (to avoid lacquer or poly).
The Dickinson stove is a nice touch too. Looks cozy in there.

The bed box might be pretty cool. Bear resistant. The external boxes have internal access. The space in the front of the box might be big enough to rig up some kind of toilet. Might be room for a...
I have a lot of Festool in my wood shop and am not afraid of a spending bucks on a good tool. Prolly be comfortable spending around a grand on a quality sewing machine. The reason I haven't is because I don't know how to use one. Heck...I don't even know what I need.
The 20 inch throat on my...
There is a time to do both solo and group. When I want to get tipsy around a campfire and B.S. with people I'll hit the annual family campouts. But, if I want to do some exploring I only go alone.
I think that rig capability is a big issue when exploring. I have a rig that is small, will go...
Have you ever wondering what will become of our little hobby if the Zombies should ever take over? Well, so has this guy.
