It looks like a nice concept but my one concern would be center of gravity. It's starting to get a bit tall and narrow, especially when adding a rtt.
Right now my biggest suggestion would be to ad an "UPDATE" notice to your original post laying out the exact status of this entire project. I...
Nah, not really a fair point. The OP specifically said Tread. If people start spouting off about pocket tools because A) they didn't bother to pay attention to what they're reading, or B) just plain don't know what they're talking about, that's not the fault of the OP.
I haven't used one...
You know, looking a bit closer, there appears to be quite a bit of inaccuracy in this ad. It's not a Gladiator. Pretty sure that's a 360, possibly 401, but not a 327, and it definitely is not a 3 speed manual.
What exactly is your friend selling?
Just in the interest of historical accuracy, Jeep dropped the Gladiator title in 1971. Trucks built after that were simply a Jeep truck. They had weight class designations like J10, J20, etc, but there was no more Gladiator.
And I could be wrong on this since its been a while but as I recall...

Man that shot of the dash just drives home how crap-tastic the one in my '92 is. Has anyone done a dash swap in that vintage to something, anything, newer and less....fugly?
Why do you want a diesel? Question #1.
Unless you tow big and tow often there is no reason to buy a diesel beyond "I want one". Most people will never own their diesel long enough for longevity to become a factor, will never put enough miles on them for fuel economy to pay off, and won't make...
Man, I really need to do a better job of keeping up with the threads I've been posting in.
No, no air locker. I have yet to hear of one that didnt end up with long term issues. Leaks are a problem. Sooner or later. Mechanical selectable lockers always seem to have adjustment problems...
I hate to say but to me that is one of the ugliest, sloppiest looking trailers I've seen in about...ever. I can dig the wood, but I haven't a clue what is going on with those exterior corners and what-not. It looks like somebody bolted a storage shed to an axle and went to town with the...
