I have a traditional SD rack, and a Hannibal- but just the platform. Long story, but sold the legs, and used two sets of Yakima rails for a total of 4 crossbars. Will part with either, but the Hannibal will better suit the RTT and much cheaper to ship being flat.

Ben- what are you going to use if selling the RTT? Plans for the JK or the tow rig?

Well, more disappointment. We let everything dry while apart, sanded with 400 grit, let set 3 more days, inflated and balanced, and waited two days and tried it out today. Three tires moved 2" around the wheel and the forth moved 4"- all in <4 miles!! So, looks like sealant or Stauns... or...

Thanks again for all the input. Been too busy to go after them, but a couple things: -yes, on factory wheels, 7.5" and recommended is 8.0- 10.0. The shop and others feel we are close enough. -have considered, and have used the Stauns, but really hate to spend the $$ for them on a street vehicle...

folks- this will fit a Disco also, and is a killer deal!!

We too never use bead sealant, and the tire shop is actually very very good- does everything from wheelbarrows to tractor and Semi trucks!! Now on patches, done exactly as described above- so does that make your shop lousy since they do them the same way? Not trying to be defensive, but why slam...

though it is a little bit of work, you can locate the solenoid pack anywhere, and then mount the controller hook up elsewhere- just a little wiring...

The computer interface is the big deal, not the hard parts. The LR3 being independant susp, actually tries to emulate a beam axle by pushing down(via the airbags) on the high wheel. Just an example, but remember, Oz gets coils so it is possible as is anything- but at what cost?

In addition to the above, I believe they had 10 spline axles through '92?? After that went to 21 spline, same as Discos and Defenders. Seems the most preferred are pre ABS with converted Tcase to Lt230, or '95

just space the bumper out an inch I think it is...

funny, I have a pair as well if someone needs a complete set. I will not sell mine unless OP has his gone or someone needs a set- posted to help, NOT compete/take away...

It looks like we are going the mount 'em dry route, let 'em sit a day or two first, hit the beads with 400 grit also, and see where we are. I suspect the overuse of soap very well could be the culptrit, but in their defense, we mount around 20 tires/mo and never had such an issue. Not so sure...

Is there a brand or name of the product? Or is it just called 'black bead sealant'? Thanks

Thanks all- we realize it is not normal, hence the post. And we have removed, cleaned and 'roughed' the contact areas- letting everything sit and dry until tomorrow. I do not want to run beadlocks on the street, but may consider the Stauns as stated above as I have had good luck with them in...

use a winch instead of a tractor- guess how I know ;-) You may have to anchor each vehicle, but you will have much greater control...
