Oh man it sounds like your building what I have in mind. THe only variable is the sliders. I am going to run the ARB with Skids. Do you have any pics of your truck with the tires, bumper and rack installed or have you not got started at all on assembly?
Yea the more and more I look at them I think Black Cherry is gonna win out. However that depends if I can get it with a stick. Toyota of Dallas is where I was planning on getting mine and they can not get it in a stick since the distributor does not order any in the combination. I am going to...
Well no pic but it made it home to my garage yesterday. THe cuts a re super clean. After sizing it up I do not belive it will be as difficult as I thought. just tediou sna nd time consuming. I still think that this is a better plan of attack the removing the whole cab and swaping a full xcab in...
Hmmm I guess you won't like my taco in person then! man yellow FJ, laod taco looks like we are opposites! :hehe:
No I understand your point on exhaust. Silence is becoming a precious comodity these days. When I go on paddling trips in remote areas I wish there was some way to make them no fly...
Yea the color issue is a big one. Silver is the smart and practical choice. It will show the least amount of wear and tear and match the campa trailer. However it is the most bland color as far as I'm concerned. Black cherry will be the "hot" color but with black wheels, rack, bull bar, sliders...
Well guys my trusty old Ranger is getting tired. When I bought it I said it would be around for 10 years. THe truck is 10 now and it loks like the tranny is starting to go. I'm going to try and linp it till April and then get a new FJ
My plan is to get a 4wd with manual tranny. Hav ethe guys at...
If you buy it it will come. the x cab will be here this coming weekend! Mike is bringing it back this week. he will be picking it up in Ohio for me Thursday. :jump:
The next pic will be of it in my garage
I tend to go all out. I have found that on my adventures there are 2 things paramount to me. Good food and good sleep. If I have those 2 things I can can deal with any other adversaty.
I handled the food for the baja trip and when I showed up at my house with the back of my ranger filled with...
Mike has them on his project baja chevy truck. 38" I believe. No problems on that big heavy rig and them seem to have balanced and road well. They seems to be getting a great rep but the $ they better!
It actually took 3 jeeps to get me out. The ground was like peanut butter and since everyone was rolling on slicks they kept getting pulled in by the winch LOL!
I have done the type of repair work you mentioned on some boat hulls, but doubt I would attack a topper reinforcement like that. It seems like alot of work to take the topper off the truck and flip it upside down just to roll it over and remount it again.
I would probably just laminate a few...
I have to say that this is just one of the sweetest expo trucks! You have done a truely top notch job on this build. With out a doubt the sweetest of the late model tacomas ever!
