I haven't official tried it in the truck on a trail but generally speaking the way the bottom reads on the screen is a grey scale. the harder the bottom the darker the image.. I have used these alot on kayaks over the years but never a smart cast. It is however a standard hummingbird operating...
Ok so I finaly got my new top secret mod all sorted out. One of the big issues with Florida wheeling is the water. There is alot of it and it gets deep real quick. Just look at the new issue of Peterson 4wd and you will see what I mean. So being tired of getting out to wade or even worse GO FOR...
T-100 all the way. If you were talking about an '85 x cab then I might be tempted to go the other way but since it's an '86 ifs I say get the T-100.
Yea I have heard the same thing about the shackles up front but on the trail it is a negative. Having the shackle in the back allows the tire and axle to come back and up, rather then just up. This makes it easier to crawl over large obstacles on the trail. And if your driving a 40 it's not for...

Despite the fact this boat has been slow to launch do to some challenges with the rotomolder, the...
What I do not get is why they did not do a shackle reverse on it. I mean for 80+k why not? Not to mention using the 4.7 liter engine instead of a chevy. I know it's because of the fact that it is a common swap but it is sacrilige lol!
Keeping the cooler covered also works well. It keeps the direct sun coming in from the windows off it and really makes a big difference. Last time my wife and I went out west in the truck we were in utah and Az for 3 weeks. We had a "5 day" cooloer. The ice actually lasted 5 days which was...
Jacob lake has a clean National forest campground. They have basic electric and bathrooms. No showers. Catch a check out shower @ the Jacob lake inn across the street for $5.00. There is another campground halfway between Jacob Lake and the enterance to the Grand Canyon N.P. but I was not...
******** for 2100 I'd jump on it. I mean lets say that realistically you buy a reliable vehicle and do basic mods you will have 10k in it real quick. I'm sure for 8500 you could turn it into something reliable and cool!
My .02 is that you should look into an over sized oil filter for better capacity. Since that 6cyl is the same used in the maxima and all there cars it doen't have a big enough oil pan for hard use. If I remember right my wifes 2000 xterra was 3.5 quarts.
Hell the 4 cyl toyota takes alot more...
I owned one for 2 years. It was the best and worst vehicle I ever owned. It was the best because I had gobs of power for towing and tons of space for gear. It was the worst because it flat out killed me in repair work. If it could have gone wrong it did. I had problems across the boards with...
Well Thule has just launched a new series of bags specifically designed to go inside of their Cargo boxes. My rep came by witht hem a month ago. They are sized so they fit inside each other when not in use. The variable sizing allows them to fit snugly inside to reduce the challenges of shifting...
Have you thought about a unit that sits on the floor rather then the bed sides? This leaves the bed sides clear for a topper or rack down the road incase your needs change.
You could also get an aluminum one and have it powder coated another color like grey which would kill the glare and help...
