The Big O JKUR build thread

Can confirm, new owner is happy! And to think I was about to pull the trigger on a X3 35i before driving the JKUR. I just can't seem to leave my Jeep roots. Matt has put together a fantastic package and I hope to give it a good home.

    JKS J-spec 3.5" suspension?

Great info. I recently noticed that Trail Jeeps had switched to JKS, almost exclusively, for 3.5 lifts. Like you said, it may not be a one size fits all thing, but it's definitely a solid vote of confidence in the product itself.

Where is this body shop? I just bought an E30 BMW and need some minor rust repair myself. Based on your experience they seem reasonably priced.

Anyone have a 5th Gen 4Runner in the Denver, CO area that wouldn't mind letting Rhino Rack 3D map your roof? From Rhino Rack employee: Rhino-Rack is still looking for someone with a 2010-2016 Toyota 4-Runner so we can get a good 3D mapping done of its Roof, We need it for the day but I'm sure...

Expo JK and Heady Topper... it's pretty much like heaven, I think. Love the rig and wish I was on the East Coast to still score some of that brew!

Stay safe, they seem to keep adjusting storm totals. I had been wanting to spend the weekend in Steamboat but after deciding we wouldn't leave tonight due to weather, we've bagged the trip. Might hit up the Seven Mile Creek area but who knows.

I'm up in Fort Collins. I asked where you got the tree to try to figure out where you might be situated. Most people up here snag theirs in Roosevelt.

Which forest/area did you venture to get your tree? Seems like the couple snows we've had had been extremely problematic RE: wrecks as it seems like folks have been unprepared. The Thanksgiving snow seemed to have a nice sheet of ice under it due to the rain before the snow. I know in a local...

Haha, everything's for sale! RTT will get a new cover by spring and maybe I'll upgrade the front to long arms but it's plenty capable as it is. Henry has been good to me so far!

Yeah the hill is more intimidating than anything else since once you start up it, there's really no turning around. I know some others who've done it with open diffs but I think many would likely say the trail is only getting more difficult every year. It's incredible to look at pictures of the...

The wife and I hit up the Kelly Flats area this past Saturday in the Poudre River Valley not too far from Fort Collins. It's mainly known for its longest obstacle: Heart Attack Hill, a very long, steep, and loose rocky incline. We successfully made it up top on our first go using what would be...

Trac Lok is the generic name Jeep trademarked name to describe their limited-slip differentials. The shape of the carrier is a telltale sign as well: http://www.jedi.com/obiwan/jeep/traclok.html

Out of both my slightly modified Cherokee and my highly modified Cherokee, TruckLites are easily the best upgrade between the two. It's so incredibly nice to be able to see at night AND know you're not blinding on coming traffic.
