Thanks for the council. I've actually decided to expand or oval-ize the holes to make the oem unit interchangeable between the two. The factory unit is in finally and I'm now buttoning up the rest of the install.

I just swapped a 1995 front differential assembly into my 2000 Montero. Upon inspection, the bolt patterns for the passanger side CV joint flange is different. As shown in the pictures below. Note I've drawn the year on the flange for reference.
I have already tried a CV joint from a 1995...
Recent progress has been made installing the stockpile of parts. I'm currently installing the front differential and hit a few snags.
First up- the new poly bushings from Adventure Driven Design for the transmission mount have a smaller width than the factory mounts. Are people just using...
Finally got around to replace the back brakes today. The rear passenger side caliper was acting up and the pad was not wearing evenly. Decided to overhaul the rear brakes in their entirety today. Stoptech pads, rotors, Raybestos parking brake shoes and reman calipers. Thought about replacing the...
My experience was the coating smelled for a 3-5 days after coating it. But my garage was fairly cold and that prolongs the curing process. If you can wait a few days and are able to keep it dry, it could well be worth the effort.

Good call to practice on the trailer first. I also recommend watching watching a few videos online to get comfortable with the process. Here is one of several I got some value from:

I personally have had no prior experience with any automotive paint. This was my most ambitious surface finish project to date. The texture really hides blemishes and makes it an easier process as it's forgiving. I've a few spots that are noticeably different as I moved the sprayer too close, or...
Thanks! I picked these up on Amazon. The name was DDM Tuning retrofit mini H1 2.5" projectors. These are a snug fit but it seems to be ok so far. I didn't check alignment when I did the install and they are angled down a bit too much currently. I'm in the process of adjusting these but the...
To answer the other questions- yes, there are physical clips in addition to 3m double sided tape. The clips go underneath the rubber trim and is a fairly solid connection, but honestly seems to me it's just a secondary support to the tape. See pictures...
Other projects include prep work to the...
I picked up the visors from eBay. They are from a company called WellVisor and the quality seems good/average. Certainly worth the price point in my opinion. I'll get some close up pictures later on.

Progress has been made and I'm really enjoying seeing everything go back on the car. Snorkel is back on, as are the wipers and new window visor things! The other main success is the status of the electrical install, which is mostly complete now. Getting everything to fit was a task, but honestly...
Good info there Factoid!
Few more pictures of the material while it's curing. It was out of the garage for a few hours before winter weather arrived. Instructions mentioned that the coating should stay dry for 72 hours to allow for a full curing cycle. I've been setting a few tools on the hood...
Thanks- It's certainly a different look, but it's extremely durable from what I'm told and my limited experience setting tools down on the hood. Looking back at the finished product I'd suggest sticking to a matte finish, and if going with a red- opting for something a little more bright. The...
I've no experience rolling this material on, but would imagine that this could work if you've perhaps added a few coats. Spraying two medium/light coats over a porous surface could be a hit or miss result due to the random application of texture. If it were me, I'd try coating from below with...
Thanks! It was a fun project and not too bad on the budget. That paint job took 6 liters in total and was easy to apply. Probably 8-12 hours overall. We sort of over did the prep work and took on additional projects (welding holes and filling two small dents) and it turned out rather nicely...
Here is the Raptor Liner paint job! It's tinted in the factory color and was sprayed to have the rough texture. It's certainly an interesting look and feel so far and will be cured over the next 72 hours or so.
