    2007 LR3 - my 10 yr build thread...

Today visited the North American ARB location which is nice to have nearby! Retrieved my other ARB fridge and chatted a bit about supplying the lockers from my current ARB compressor location which has 'just' enough space for the 2 solenoid. Last night found a few feet of snow which also...

Re: fuel tank. I wasn't involved aside from paying and saying where I wanted the pump switch. I think it was fairly straight forward considering it was designed for ROW vehicles which means things don't always line up just right for our NAS spec vehicles. It causes a code for evap leak all the...

You may want to look into a product called Boeshield. There are three things, one to clean up rusty stuff, another to "convert/stop" rust, and when all that's done including as much physical removal as you can muster, a final coating product. These were developed by Boeing. There's also...

Maybe change any old hardware to new high grade stainless. Dang, Europe stock market not looking so hot and US futures down. I was hoping to fumd those cool window vents :/

    Canadian Disco 2 Build

Based on the 6 year gap and the quality of the few drama posts just above yours...I'd say start anew as you are in life :) Glad you're living though and trying new things !!

Ive aired down to 30 from over 50 and it was all fine after getting them back up to 52 again. I actually removed the rear tpms harness from the plug near left rear lamp so now it's a simple higher pitch beep that goes off with dash button. Fronts are still as they don't cause issues or the...

The backup does try to beep but I instinctively hit the button every time now apparently. I don't need to halt my TPMS seeing as 20 of the 25 wheel/tire sets have sensors inside ;). With great annoyance none of the settings via IIDtool have yet to stop the parking sensor beeping though. :/

Capped the pivot today after making sure it had settled if necessary and was still snug. Also added the convenient 'vehicle climbing grip' locations ;)

High-Lift mount to rear bumper. I have both the 48" standard and the 60" 'extreme'. The grey extreme is what's shown below. Guess what I found out today: oddly their step lift holes are not the same size or spacing. Strange but probably something to do with standard vs extreme in the casting...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Wow! I've been wanting vents like I've seen in defenders and was thinking of how to make my own but these are way nicer than what I could come up with on a time/cost ration. Also this is totally going on my spare tire carrier swing arm: folding 2 level shelf in aluminum...

Is a specific bushing tool needed or are they pretty much all that same ? For example, a spring compressor would require correct spring size clamps while a set of box wrenches works on everything. Of the available choices, what's probably the best poly kit for my lr3 7000-8000+Lbs? I've been...

LR4 with Alpine Roof - roof rack options for RTT

That's interesting because on my D2 with exact same rack and awnings, I barely felt it other than wind drag with the weaker motor. However, it has stronger OME springs and and dampers to compensate for added weight. By comparison, we add all this crap to our LR3&4 but our suspension is not...

LR4 with Alpine Roof - roof rack options for RTT

What the heck are you talking about "alpine" roof "option"? The only way LR3/4 come to usa is the same with glass on top . Anyway, no RTT 'requires' a rack of any sort. Note does it even really benefit from it. All they require is two cross bars that are flat and sturdy, like Thule or Yakima...

I was recently trying to source window vent/screens for LR3 but came up with nothing. What have you seen or found?

A factory 17x7 wheel with 255/85 -17 won't have any issues with the frame rub I'm getting (not sure what you meant to type with the "7x9") 2016 taco only weighs like 4000 lbs. that's 500 lbs less per tire plus I'm willing to bet he doesn't have an additional 2000 lbs on there either. I...

    National Luna Weekender 52L

Thanks. I'm going to find out if they'll just sell me 4 seat covers and the arm rests as I'll never have the center seat back in there. Hell I don't even remember where it's stored LOL ;) Victory, for such a high dollar item, you'll enjoy for many more years than the rover itself ;), you may...

    Compressor Mount

Along similar lines of fitting things where they don't belong, I want to relocate my window washer bottle from idiotic location in lowest left corner of bumper to somewhere higher/inside engine bay. I noticed some space in my LR3 on passenger side between headlamp and air box. I've also read...
