    Please educate me on smokers

Thanks....... Well, sometimes you just get lucky. We went to Cabela's last night to pay off our Cabela's credit card, in full. I went to look at smokers & BAM-there it was, my $430 smoker on sale for $349 on a fathers day special. Included a free cover, sausage rack & some other stuff & a dvd...

    Quality and Budget Coolers

I'm thinking that coolers have reached their peak IMHO. For not much more money (name brand ones), you can get an ARB fridge/freezer & never have to worry about ice again. In a marine environment a cooler would have the advantage to be sure (one good swamp & the ARB would probably be done). I...

    Thermoelectric cooler vs a fridge?

My ARB's can make ice cubes on a 97* day. No ice to get anymore, ever. No worries of getting some before the store closes, or if the store is out of ice. We have had both happen to us. We still have a cooler but just for drinks, beer, wine. We rotate containers of water. While some are in the...

Fire Pan for Restricted Areas. What do you use?

What about one of these, or is it too small ? http://www.madeinamericastore.com/the-all-american-grill-8912.html I have seen these in person. They are super HD. Yes, they are expensive but will literally last forever. 1/8" 304 Stainless. Your children's children will be handing it down to...

Heavy gauge wire/cable Crimp or Solder for Offroad use?

I soldered the 2/0 gauge welding cable, to the proper sized lugs, for my dual battery setup on my 08" Power Wagon. No issues. It's been 8 years. A hydraulic crimper for 2/0 gauge wire was uber expensive, when i did this in 2008. ($300-$500). I see HF & the river have them for around $50 now...

    *Closed* HIlift group buy

Thanks. Used the HLift the other day, to help my helpless neighbor remove his 4x4 posts that came to a T on top & were sunk into concrete, (clothesline posts for hanging laundry). I used a chain, wrapped it around the post 3x, then over & under the jack lift point, secured with a bolt & started...

NOt as good as the Aussie ones but...

Yes, we are still liking it a LOT. Yes, that figure sounds about right. Ours was $14,500-$14,800---give or take. Plan on a new mattress. Bed box was time consuming but easy. No diagrams or schematics, I just went off of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jd1Sx_tldHs I made my...

    Please educate me on smokers

Yeah, I just went from a flip phone to a smart phone yesterday. Not sure why they call it that cause i sure don't feel very smart now. I had my flip phone mastered, now i feel like i'm in kindergarten again. Anyways, not sure i would use that feature either, but, now that i have a smart phone...

    Wheel chock

I made my own. Easy-peasy. I used 3 2"x10"s, stacked 3 high, cut at a 45* angle, glued & screwed together, coated with HDepot's 10X deck coating (4 coats), put handles on & made my own teeth from angle aluminum. They work great & really dig in on uneven terrain. I also have a 4 set of...

http://photocamel.com/gallery/data/1742/medium/DSC_36462.jpg Yes, this base also fits the First Responder jack. But NOT with the neat little plastic round stabilizer, just the metal bar fits with the stock qr pin. Oh yeah, I am Officially Retired now!!!

coolers what would you design ?

You can always use RubberMaid or Tupperware containers to keep things separated & dry, or reverse the setup & keep ice in containers to keep cooler dry. Stack however you want. I think coolers that have slots FOR dividers, should COME with those dividers, which should also be cutting boards. Low...

Thanks, I received mine today. VERY nice. I will post pics in a few days when my son gets home to help me with that. Box was pretty mashed up from the shipping guys but jack was fine & everything was there. I also have a winch on the Power Wagon but this is good insurance for other things as...

    Rv trailer off road modifications?

We have an AR-One Extreme 18QB. I have done nothing to the chassis. I have reinforced the vertical supports in the seating area as well as the bed frame. I also added a few horizontal supports under the seating area & replaced the veneer under the cushions with 1/2" thick birch fbs plywood &...
