    18" Wheels - recommendations? LR3

Full size spare is good but the rods are just dumb waste of $. Maybe you didn't understand what he wrote.... He said all the valve stems are rubber...if the valve stems are not metal, they are simply not tpms sensors regardless of what the monitoring system is doing. There is nothing "free"...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

1- I love having the 2nd fuel tank. 2-this did not render my left jerry can swing out useless as it happens to fit 2 of the 4 gallon rotopax perfectly sandwiched together. I have the Kaymar with dual swing so the left is jerry can. I thought it looked like 2 of the right rotopax could work so...

    Birth of My Kimberley Karavan

That really sucks for those who were close to ordering but didn't quite make the move. A few weeks ago it was staying around .69. At a $100k AUD amount after removing their tax, it translates to $1000 per 1¢ exchange change. So, now the same loaded T3 is $4000 more than just a month ago.

Do you still have the Coyote ? I love the red canoe photo ;)

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Your spare wheel is on upside down... the holder can damage the face but worse can get hung up on something, plus it's just wrong. ;0

    LR3 Tail Light Guard Installation

I hope you got all the little spacer parts that go between the body and the frame. You could make some but it would be annoying not knowing exactly what to create without having one in front of you. I would try seeing if a dealer has a set for sale, then get them to let you copy the...

Defender Kit on LR3/4 Disco 3/4 vehicles

Yes, that was funny. Go to it on your bumper idea. I might if I had the resources it sounds like you do at hand.

Nitro Gear / Just Differentials, Project 200 Series Land Cruiser

Meaning there's no benefit to adding spacers when wider track is better done by wheel offset and seriously better would be wider axle, which can be done using Tundra parts. It seems like you put them on just for looks.

    LR3 rock crawling carnage

Those are nice but seem basically irrelevant on an LR3/4 due to it's suspension and chassis design without going full custom with new upper and lower control arms as well as many other parts. As soon as you rip out the EAS on an lr3, there's almost no point in using the platform without a redo...

    Tire Size Help.

Maybe so, but ...I think the BFG is a tougher tire though from my use of both. Also, longer wear from what other people are seeing but then the vehicle (weight and solid axle vs independent causing camber wear) and driving style matter too. I forgot about the studding option on the DT, that...

    Birth of My Kimberley Karavan

Your wife has an incorrect idea about the towing. Exactly how does a heavier and longer Airstream become "easier to tow". The KK T3 is FAR easier simply due to some very basic reasons: 1- It weighs considerably less than an equal length Airstream and it's weight is actually balanced more...

I'm surprised you're going through all this trouble and degrading the whole deal by using spacers. An adapted tundra axle would widen the track properly.

    Tire Size Help.

I don't think this discussion is about "most aggressive" and I'm not sure that's even true anyway. The DT looks awesome but I don't think it's quite all that special. The BFG AT KO2 is much more different than it appears to be from the KO"1". As for "best in snow", what are you trying to say...

    Tire Size Help.

The difference is people with LC just go "do" rather than sit around pissed off at some aspect of what's wrong with the Rover this month. Mine was in the shop all week. Also, on LC you can pretty much put on whatever size tire you like, which may require a lift, but the size limitations are...

    Why LR4 over L322

"3rd row" is irrelevant to me. The LR3/4 have roughly 30% more interior volume. It's especially huge when all seats are removed. In the RR you basically are required to remove the 2nd row to get any sort of functional cargo space. Removing the 2nd and 3rd row in LR3/4 yields a mega interior...

At least 20mm if you compare to wheel stud diameter and brake rotor thickness.

LEAST aggressive "off road" tires used ? Full size E rated Michelin M/S 2 ?

Here in WA state the tire shops have a sipe machine to add more to tires when needed. I had this done with both previous sets of BFG AT and it seemed to really help having tried them on snow first without and then after sipes added. Mainly it seems to help with braking but it must also help...

    Tire Size Help.

The KO2 is the best tire in your list. You should NOT use a size smaller than the oem. A 32.5" size will fit fine without a lift. 33" narrow enough will fit too. 31.5-32" is kind of ideal for stock height though. The 265/75x16 in BFG AT Ko2 is right about 31.5". Which really would be sort...
