air suspension fun and games, LR3

Posted by member StreetsofCompton: "Does the IID tool allows for independent adjustments for each corner, or just F and R as two separate units? If my front is indeed a hair taller, is this something to be overly concerned with or could it be a simple adjustment? " The lr3 usually has a higher...

Thanks. Such a nice area out there. The fires this year surpassed last year which were then the largest on record...the dry season started a month or more early this year.

I love the look of that 300tdi but more because I imagine how it sounds rumbling along the trail slow and steady

    Latest Photo?

Think of other languages and what the words mean. "removed" likely = "taken", the photo. Our roof tents upon racks are annoyingly loud, top heavy, bit slow to set up, more slow to put away, very annoying when putting away wet, extra annoying to just take off for a day trip, etc .....but don't...

Last summer 2014....before it all burned a few weeks ago. Twisp WA 2014 summer photo. Area burned in 2013, then with no vegetation, bad erosion and mud slides start...

All of that except for cutting the ends of sliders is required even for "just" a 32" tire. I don't mean 31.5 that people like feel better about by calling a "32" but an actual 32. 31.5 is the sweet spot for almost no mods needed at all. However, you mention "spacers" which are NOT...

    motorcycle insurance

Here are a few things to consider: I recently saw photos of either an Ducati 848, or an 1199 with knobbies on it out on a damp PNW forest trail. Neat idea, one ************ bike, 2 sets of wheels.... You speak of the exhaust note... unless the Termi you heard is a true FULL system, it's still...

    motorcycle insurance

Wow, that's almost the exact bike I went with the intent to buy, a SV650, but by the end of the day I left with the 2005 Ducati ;)

    motorcycle insurance

What fun thread! I think my moto insurance is Geico right now with Progressive on the autos. Cost is about $600/year on a 2013 BMW GSA I bought new with high limits on everything. I don't remember how much it was to insure the 2007 BMW R1200s or the Duacti 749R but the Ducati may have been a...

    Goodyear Adventures 265-70-18 (pro-grade in 6 ply)

Interesting. For practically the same criteria I chose the Michelin LTX M/S2 in 275/65x18 which is just a bit smaller. For use on the G I would have used the 275/70x18. E load range makes more sense for my purposes even on mostly highway trips but you know what you like ;) By what method do...

Seriously considering a Land Rover again.

There is a canister on the compressor with little beads inside that help with the drying. They do have a finite life though so putting them through less cycles would for sure help it last longer. It's even serviceable but nobody really services any parts these days, they just replace whole items.

Nobody is using tires over 33" without rubbing and they would still require major modifications. Rods cannot fix that fact. Most people are not even using tires larger than 31.5 or 32? 32 still requires modifications to metal parts even if using rods.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

I swear I rest mine or it resets or something....never seems to bother me anyway. I like having the added warning if something is going on with a tire, more so on the road trips.

Land Rover Body on Frame Question

Finally have mine back on after the modifications required of the compressor bracket. It's tucked way up into the sill now without the foam box it was in. My sliders are pretty awesome now galvanized and powder coated after the 1 year curing time.

    LR3 search

As I understand the engines: LR3 V8 is a Jag engine. However, the V6 gas was a ford engine and the tdv6 then was Ford/PSA developed. Most of the other systems are basically just the next version of what was in lr3 so I agree no "teething" issues because the systems were the same but...
