    Fuso options.

They are a marketing and advertising firm who happens to sell sound dampener. It is over priced and there are much better products on the market. Plenty of reading here on proper sound deadening. There is no one product that does it all.. https://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/

    Fuso options.

Pre 07 truck with 4M50 motor and AS68RC, would be my first choice. Trucks are very reliable, mine has 255K on it. They can be made comfortable, but are not by design. It is not difficult or expensive, despite what others will tell you. Some sound deadending (don't use Dynamat and don't cover...

    Another FG build

Nice looking rig, sir. What accounts for the lack of fender to wheel gap, as seen on most 4WD cabovers? IMO, it looks awful and with a centered front diff, is almost impossible to eliminate. Yours does not have that gap and looks much better, as a result.

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

I have been in the construction industry for about 20 years and I despise a dirty work site. Whilst I am only a subcontractor, I don't have much control over it, but on the jobsites that we are on, we certainly do our best to clean up. I have contracted with and for other companies that set...

    Foul weather and mud gear.

Sorry to hear on the Lowa's, Bill. I bought them from REI and I am a member, so if they wear through as you say, they will be going back for repair or replacement. I could have them re-soled, but IMO, that is not something one should be required to do, for many miles. I will check out the...

    Foul weather and mud gear.

Had not even thought about sailing gear, but I came across a decent amount of off shore fishing gear made in Alyeska and Canada. Filson has several outer layer pieces made in Canada, from $200 - $700, so those are options. Will add Gill and the others to the list, for the link. EDIT...

    Foul weather and mud gear.

Looking for an outer shell that is water and windproof. I am not overly concerned with budget, as I believe in buying quality gear over replacing cheap gear several times. I DO NOT want anything made in China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nicaragua, etc. Maybe there are some good products made...

Molecular Sieves as an interior space desiccant? (in the example of a well sealed camper, to control condensation) In natural building, materials like earth-berm, adobe, clay covered straw bale, etc., are used, as they readily absorb and release moisture, therefore controlling humidity levels...

Yes MG, I am 'scheming' (if that is a word). On the 750 rpm, example, it's probably not useful in high range. Just trying to give an idea of what you can do with a four speed Atlas and ZF-6. "Idling along at 750rpm" gives you that speed range. I may have put my hands on a..... (sorry, it's a...

You will need some deep pockets to start and yes, a transmission build will be on the list of upgrades: http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/99-03-7-3l-performance-parts/173412-power-levels-300-500-above-whp-write-up.html Diesel Power had a similar article (parts list for certain power levels)...

Fred the Van. The More We Explore's Adventure Van Build Thread

AMP steps are nice, a mate of mine has them on a Dodge 2500 truck on 35's. I would be concerned about off roading with them and would prefer a beefy slider for anything other than a dirt road and pavement travel. Better to have them and not need them than the other way 'round and crush a...

http://www.dynatrac.com/axle-assemblies/prorock-60-axle.html Did Dynatrac build that with the RCV's already in it? That is sweet if they are doing that. I did not see it on their webpage, but I am on my phone so not the easiest to read. EDIT: did you not feel the need to upgrade from ball...
