Overland Journal Project Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4)

Steve, have you considered how this unit may work in conjunction with the Llams unit that allows for on the fly +/- suspension adjustment? Yours is of course much more in depth whereas the Llams is only suspension height. The benefit of theirs though is simply the dial for up/down based on...

    Internal 2014 LR4 information

I do wonder if we will EVER get a better discovery model: -efficient tdi -500-800 lb lighter aluminum build -smaller brake rotors allowing factory 17" OR enough room for easy fitting of 18" wheel with 33.5" tire such as possible with the current Land Cruiser 200 -and for the $60,000 USD these...

    Rasta 4x4 LR3 Sliders

Rasta sill covers did not have a "nerf" bar or any sort of protruding element so what is that black bar in the photo? They were essentially a direct copy of the plastic covers made from aluminum covering the same area and having roughly the same shape. It is rather misleading to show those...

2006 Range Rover vs Discovery 3 (edit - looking at a 2006 rr hse tomorrow)

Also, one way to verify the stated "lux package" option is to see if the front seats have an articulated upper half back rest. This was only on the supercharged model or HSE with lux pkg. It was dropped from the vehicle altogether after 2006.

2006 Range Rover vs Discovery 3 (edit - looking at a 2006 rr hse tomorrow)

Where did you get the photo you posted? The vehicle on their website shows the factory side vent and 19" wheels and I would assume the factory grill. Your posted photo shows a supercharged model grill and side vents as well as 20" wheels. Also, you say it's the "owners car". Well, then why...

How do you know it doesn't have HD pkg?

Reduced - 2008 Land Rover LR3 HSE LUX with offroad bits

You'll have better luck and be taken more seriously if you go ahead and post the "more details" as well as comprehensive photos. If you were looking to buy a vehicle would you really just go on one silly driveway side shot? People want to know silly stuff like ....the mileage? How many...

They need larger photos. View of it mounted under bonnet are so small I wouldn't know what it was in if I didn't own an lr3.

    Tire decision block!

285/60 is however wider than 265/65, any gains by .1" radius are negated by much more width. Is the Grabber AT2 available as an E load range tire with 10ply design like the BFG AT? I see you're in Maine? For better winter traction I get the tire shop to "sipe" my BFG AT tires. As for...

    LR 2

Or a Subaru Forester for down market value and function. VW Tiguan is not bad either with it's very functional flush-folding rear seats.

Why do you want 285/60? 265/65 is just fine.

    Tire decision block!

all of the tires that will "fit" in an unmodified lr3/4 will fit underneath in the stock location. 265/65x18 and 285/60x18 will fit. 275/65x18 probably wouldn't fit well though

    Tire decision block!

You get what you pay for.... I first used Nitto Terra Grappler. they were ok. I've tried the newest GY Duratrac. It seems great, the only one I'd even consider competing with the BFG AT but the sizing of the GY is problematic. Loose your air suspension and you will be absolutely stuck. I...

    Tire decision block!

There is however a body metal flange under those humps too. On the right side the hoses snug up against the flange but the bump in the plastic fender liner is still required due to the body metal flange that sticks out about 1". The hoses can be moved/relocated though...... and the flange...

    Tire decision block!

Sounds to me like JR trying to worry people into buying their product. 265/65x18 works just fine on stock lr3. I have about 90,000 miles experience with 3 different aftermarket sizes and while 275/65x18 just about works, it absolutely rubs even in straight line driving (at the rear wheel...

    Internal 2014 LR4 information

I have seen this too but am skeptical if it will really happen. I would really consider a LR5 if it would be available as a true diesel or diesel hybrid.

even better would be a way to bypass/substitute the arb air incase the oem compressor stops functioning however the system has a lot of computer talking going on so my shop didn't want to waste my $ trying to figure it out. I'm just excited as heck about the lockers though. Maybe by the time a...

Class Action suit against Land Rover for crappy tires gains momentum

remember the stock tires that came on the older land rovers, the Michelin "XPC 4x4" I think it was called. Now that was a great all around tire. It wasn't as rugged as something like the BFG AT or GY Duratrac but it was perfectly fine in almost all conditions and wore well.

Class Action suit against Land Rover for crappy tires gains momentum

I have seen no letter yet and have bought the following new: in 2006, an 06 lr3 in 2006, an 07 full size Range Rover in 2007, an 07 lr3 (don't ask why this after the above) How does LRNA find us? My address is different now than when purchases were made however I frequent the local dealer.
